Man.....long time no post in this thread! Found a big piece of marble and cut it, then grinded and sanded it smooth to make this classic manual pad thingy raised by a couple homemade pallets. Everything free is EPIC!

For cutting stone and such I use a "turbo" diamond cutting blade on my grinder, and make sure to use proper protective gear on my body and eyes/face, ears and breathing. Its really nasty stuff and chips can come flying like a speeding bullet. After that I use the same blade to carefully give all the corners some 45 degree angles. Then I switch to a disc sander with 60 grit, then 150, and up to as fine as you prefer. I prefer the obstacle to have a little grip, but sure, one can also water sand the surface and even give it some rub and polish to give it piano like surface if desired..

Nice thanks for the info. Knowing me I'll try the exact process you use and mine will come out nothing like yours, it'll be all jacked up  . That's what I love about all the things you create it comes out so clean/precise/perfect. But oh well time to hit up the homies to see if I can use their grinder!!!

Cool man! Make sure to go very carefully ahead with the cutting and perfectly straight or the block might crack. One can simply use a decent tile cutter for the cutting or get someone who has one like people that work with tiles commonly used in supermarkets and so on, they are usually heavy duty tiles and they will have the proper equipment for the task. I simply use this method because it is what I have at hand and what works for me..

Had to put stickers on my Mini Dos, as the previous owner obviously had stickers on before but removed them for selling it, but there was loads of sticker residue left which was coating my wheels, so I just put stickers roughly in the same place to cover up the marks, and a few more to add some character to the ramp.




Just need to learn how to do perfect tricks on it instead of super basic stuff, though just getting the feel for the transitions by tail stalling, grinding etc is helping, the more I practice the better I get, same with everything really.

Looks awesome, I love my mini dos but I don't use it enough, lol
