I don't really like asking about deck making as i like to figure things out on my own, but i've been making decks for 2 years and throughout that time have tested many ideas; bases like water, vinegar, and rubbing aclohol with food dye, rit dye, and egg dyes in various combonations, but nothing has worked so far. Is there something i've been doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated, thanks the picture is from my recent rit fabric dye and rubbing alcohol idea

Keep it simple man. water and food coloring are the way to go. Or just buy some veneer dye.

i bought rit dye and it worked fine, its kinda messy but it shows the true color on the box, i just soak each piece for about 5-10 mins then dry it with a paper towel.

its all about time really. rubbing alcohol is good . but you need to use something more industrial and leave them for 2 plus weeks , and the rits works fine
