| So I'm kinda new to fingerboarding, and have been lurking this site for a couple weeks now. I have a cheap set-up (broken knuckle complete) but eh, it's good for now. That aside, I always wanted to have a concrete/cement type Y/jersey barrier. I stumbled across elswago.com after running a lot of google searches. I thought the barriers were reasonably priced and I saw just two reviews on Youtube. One was fairly recent so I figured the company was still active. Going back to price however, I was bummed that the cost of shipping nearly eclipsed the price of the barrier itself. I think the owner must do a flat rate, so it's in your best interest to purchase more than one barrier/obstacle at a time. Anyway, I'm very impressed with the quality of the barrier. It's appearance is realistic, and grinds/slides are smooth. Takes just a few grinds to break it in, or you could use just a small amount of wax (really not much needed). It also came with a non-slider cut to fit the whole bottom! It's also not that heavy. The packaging seemed a bit excessive, but I was glad as there were no chips or cracks. Again, a very smooth and well made obstacle. But my gripes are that it seems a tad small/short (but keep in mind it is angled, so I assume it's meant to be shorter than their model barrier that you could pair it with). Plus the non-slider is quite thick. If it had not come w/ the non-slider, i was just planning on putting some pre-cut foam grip i had lying around. My personal preference is to have the obstacle sitting on a surface as flush as possible. But it's not a huge deal since this isn't a bank barrier. Enjoy the pics. Thanks. For size ref, next to a 13 in macbook. It's roughly over 10 in. for size ref the deck is 30x100mm, trucks are 29mm |
