| Hey guuuuys. First of all- I don't know if it is right to post it in the question section or in the quick question thread - If this is the wrong place please correct me, I will immediately delete it and move it to the other Thread. Ok, my Question: What do you guys think about Southboards ? - I was scrolling around ebay to look for some cheap used boards and trucks, maybe wheels also, but then I saw this Southboards company. They are not as this unknown as I though, german fingerboard sites like: http://www.freefingers.de supports them. But when I saw the Price of a complete wooden deck + bearing wheels + trucks for around 13 euros I was stunning but I was also leery... Ok, the decks don't even have a graphic but what founds is the material, real wood. like cherry , maple, etc. - Southboards.de wrote:
- This package inlcudes:
1x Fingerboard Deck 2x adjustable Trucks 8x Screws 4x Wheels with ball bearings ABEC-5 4x Nuts 2x Grip Tape + 1x tool So, what do you think ? This kind of Set-Up must be cheap of quality or ? I mean if you buy e.g. an starter kid from bollie you pay at least 30 bucks, depending of the shop.. and you DON'T even have bearing wheels! Well, I hope you understand my broken english, and have a nice day ! |

| I've had one before, it is a basic chinese mass produced deck with basic chinese bearing wheels and trucks. They are ok for a first wooden setup for people but once you get BW or any proper wooden deck made with love to fingerboarding you don't really want to use chinese decks anymore.
Also, anything made in China is super hated by fingerboard community for some reason. Prepare for "Chinese products suck" comments in this thread. |

| The difference between a China complete and a decent setup is something else.
I started with a TD, then spotted complete setups on eBay for £13.99 so bought 2, they were loads better than a Tech Deck, but once I put together my first actual setup with nice parts the difference blew me away, wish I'd just used the money I spent on TD and China stuff and put it towards a nice complete to start with. |

| i've got SB trucks and wheels before i joined FBHQ. Only had Bollie non-bearing wheels to compare and i thought, cheep china bearing wheels must be better of course... well, that was bullshit. They are not only cheep, they also feel cheap. I had no fun with it at all. You can use the trucks when you change the bushings, but in that case i'd reccommend you to get a Frost complete. You'll also get China trucks/wheels PLUS an amazing deck an tuning. It starts at 27$ (shipping free, worldwide ). I've got my Frost-deck 2 days ago and it's honestly the best deck i've ever used. |
