| Hey guys, I just bought myself a pair of BR trucks, but I now see that you can only use certain wheels that's designed for them?? I have 3 sets of bearing wheels already (one set of CNC laithed wheels, china bearing wheels, and soft TD Expert Sk8s), I'm thinking that maybe the TD wheels might fit because the trucks that came with that setup has really small axles too, and I can't use any of my other wheels on those trucks except the Expert Sk8 ones. Or could I make the hole on the back of the other wheels I have a bit larger so that the axles of the truck press against the bearing as opposed to the rear of the wheel, will that work? And can you give me some suggestions for a nice 33mm deck, I was looking at this: http://www.thenorwoodproject.co.uk/#!product/prd1/1476331631/yw-skullyAre Yellowood decks any good? Do they have a nice rounded finish along the edges of the deck, and is it the noses that are slightly longer on them? Lastly, if I can't do something to my current wheels to make them work on my BRs then what is the best wheels for the least amount of money that I could buy to use on them? Is there not a trading/for sale section on this forum, I've seen a lot of nice wheels, but the prices are nuts, some of them cost more than the wheels on my actual skateboard!!! I only got BR trucks because they were on sale on eBay for a good price, it would have been a shame not to buy them, I've been tinkering with fingerboards for a while now, and it's not something that I'm just going to give up, I know that, it's something I practice every day now, and really have a lot of fun doing so, but the setups I have right now have problems that annoy me, nuts falling off, there's a loose axle on one of them, and the bushes are terrible, I am going to assume that BR trucks will feel a whole lot better to ride. Thanks for any advice guys. |

| There is a sale/trade section on the forum, but you have to be on the forum for a while before you can use it(A month and 50 posts if I'm not mistaken?). Yellowoods are good but do know there are a lot cheaper decks of similar quality, I don't know you location but there are great deck companies from all over the world in the banner up at the top of the page on this forum. There aren't many cheap wheels, you can just take a tech deck tool and bore out a little hole in the back of your wheels ALTHOUGH it may cause the bearing to become loose in the wheel. If you want softer, grippy, more skate feeling wheels ywheels and oak wheels are both on the expensive side, but definitely worth it (I ride oaks pretty much exclusively). Flatface and Winkler wheels are harder, but they offer a bit smoother ride than the more realistic wheels. Sorry it was so long haha, but I hope this helped. |

| To start of you wouldnt want to use a 33mm deck if the BRT's you bought are 29.. I would say that you need good wheels to really notice a difference with BRT's.. using chinas on BRT's are just like riding good chinas. As for yellowoods they are not 33mm, they are 32mm.. the edges of all the decks on the site are nicely rounded. I suggest a Qdeck, DK Deck, Flatface G14 or a Berlinwood. Best wheels for a cheap price are definetely grand ghost rides.. they are around 10 bucks cheaper then flatface wheels. There is a BST section on the forum but you have to be a member for 2 months and contribute actively. As for the bushings on the brt's you will also probably need to get some witchcrafts from thenorwoodproject as the original blackriver bushings are pretty hard. Hope this is some helpful information |

| Did you snag those BRTs off of the uk ebay? I was totally planning on buying those!
Unfortunately, fingerboarding is a really expensive hobby, if you plan on getting good equipment. There are bargains to be had (I picked up some Oaks up off ebay for £15 t'other day), but on the whole a good setup is going to run to at least £50 :/
You could run any of the wheels you currently have with washers, I think. But to be fair good trucks are more of an investment thing, without good tuning and wheels the difference in performance will be minimal if you carry on riding China's or CNCs.
What deck are you running at the moment? |

| Lol yes man, I noticed there was 5 people watching them as well, buy in the last half hour I decided just to grab them!
Thanks for the replies folks.
And they are BR 32mm trucks man, hence why I wanted a 33mm deck.
I first bought a Skull complete, then a FBUK before I knew anything about them being Chinese stuff and they're basically ripping folk off, one came with laithed wheels the other are just regular bearing wheels, the FBUK has 29mm Allen key trucks and axles, the skull just has tuned 29mm with regular nuts.
I also have a 2nd hand 32mm Ambition with a pair of the TD independent wides on it, but the previous owner must have used the deck a lot, because when I pop off the tail, the noise it makes is quite a dull popping sound, yet if I turn it round and use the nose it has the proper popping sound, plus the holes for the back truck are misaligned too so the base plate sits squint.
I also bought a TD Expert Sk8 that came with the soft wheels, I actually like the grippiness of these wheels, but yeah, the amount I've spent on these budget setups I could've bought a decent complete instead.
I'm pretty sure I was looking at those Oak wheels too, but was worried they might be dodgy.
I'm not sure if you noticed on the ad for the trucks, but I thought the bottom bushing on one of the trucks looked damaged, but they'll be getting changed for some Witchcraft bushings soon.
Are the DK Decks with the 2 secret plies any good? |

| Enjoy them!
I did the same thing as you (and it seems to be quite common), and bought a fair bit of Chinese/budget stuff (4CF complete and a close-up and a bunch of Allen key trucks and so on) before realising it's a totally false economy. I ended up getting decent gear in the end anyway and just frustrating myself with 2nd rate stuff in the meantime!
The oak wheels were pretty well used, but for 15 I just had to do it (plus they arrived the very next day, amazing seller).
Def go for witchcrafts, the norwood project has got a load in atm and it's much cheaper to get em that way.
Not sure about DK but they're a legit company and some of the decks they've produced look fantastic, particularly the new split ply logo decks. |

| you don't need brr edition wheels for brr trucks. all you need is a set of washers. |

| Cheers guys, I'll have a look around, and yeah, I noticed Norwood have a nice selection of stuff just now, £4.50 for some WC Bushes isn't bad at all.
Wouldn't using washers leave even less space, from what I've read filing out the rear hole of the wheel a little so the axle makes contact with the bearing is what needs to be done? |

| the axel makes contact with the bearing regardless, the hole on the back of non brr edition wheels is smaller, and if you just put it on the truck, and tighten the locknut, it won't spin when fully tightened. to get around this problem, you can use micro washers which give the wheel more room to spin, when tightened. |

| In the end, it's your preference/choice. I suggest checking out the companies in the banner as all of them make amazing, high quality fingerboards. Check out some reviews and seeing which one of them fits your preference. I suggest http://puredecks.bigcartel.com/ and http://blosom.bigcartel.com/ as those are my two favorite. |

| i would recommend either a flatface g14, berlinwood, or a unique deck. those are pretty much all i ride. and for wheels, i would get flatface brr edition white wheels (best wheels in the world). buy quality products. wheels last forever, so the extra $10 you spend will be well worth it. |

| I got my trucks in today, I've just stuck some Chinese bearing wheels on and I'm using my Ambition for the moment, but the tail is dead on that deck, you can hear the difference in the sound when you try ollieing off the tail, it has a dull sound when it pops, but if you turn it round and use the nose it has more of a snappier/sharp sounding pop to it, but still not as much as my other decks that I bought new, so I definitely need a new wide deck. It's odd, because the deck looked pretty new, there wasn't any scratches on the bottom when I got it, but the tail side hasn't popped right since I first set it up. Also, before I decided to take the plunge and buy these trucks, I thought something didn't quite look right with the bushings, well it turns out he had the top bushing on the bottom of the kingpins, and they were upside down, I fixed that though. Regarding wheels, the China ones that's on it now work, but as folk on here told me I probably wouldn't notice much of a difference between the BRR and good tuned China trucks, which is right enough, I really like the look of the Acid Green Oak wheels, sorry if it's an obvious question but can these be fitted on BRRs without any issues, or should I get either Winkler or Flatface BRR edition wheels instead? I really like the oak wheels, if they can fit on BRR without mods then I'll get those, I'm still undecided on a deck though. :/ https://imgur.com/0kMfLNb |

| Yeah oaks are compatible with brts I suggest getting then from tnp tho... Oak wheels' official site, shipping takes forever. Or you could try the new flatface and winkler collaboration wheels |

| Yeah, I was gonna get them from TNP, that's where I seen them.
All the decks I have are 100mm long, but I noticed some companies decks are only 96mm like TD, is there much/any difference in the length of the deck, or is it just a personal preference?
Was looking at some Flatface decks on TNP, but they're well expensive compared to other companies on there. |

| Once again down to preference but generally if you have larger hands and fingers you would want a larger deck if you want a flatface deck get it. from flatface its much cheaper |

| I have fairly long, thin fingers.
Think I'll just stick with 100mm decks, but it'll have to be 32 to 33mm for these trucks though.
:edit:
I decided to give the CNC wheels a try on these trucks, and they go straight on with no mods at all, and they spin way better on these than they did on any of my other sets, they came with my Skull complete, and the difference in feel is huge, can't wait to try out some Oaks on these, but yeah, even just the CNC ones feel so much smoother, and they fit perfectly to. |
