It's my first time posting on this forum. I've been fingerboarding with tech decks for quite a while... Me and my friend are planning to buy our first wooden fingerboards we are currently mostly interested into buying Close Up G5.1 30mm. They got medium concaves, bearing wheels, nice smooth grip tape, and lots of other good stuff. Close Up also has 31mm option, though only 1 graphic, which is okay, but I prefer the 30mm ones. Anyway, they cost 26 Euros (1 each) + 4 Euros shipping. What do you guys think? Is this the best option? We really do like the graphics, but if you say 31mm is better we might change our minds. Again, up till now we only used tech decks so jumping from that to any wooden fingerboard will probably be amazing.

I'd say your best option is to get the new Emanant completes. Awesome set-up for only $45. I think it'd be better than a Close-up, I had one of the old Close-up completes but that was a 29mm...

Homewood or Pure decks are simply amazing.

any deck from the scrolling banner. closeup decks are pretty much china decks.

Either an emanant complete or a frost complete are definitely your best bet for cheap completes with high quality,hand made decks. http://www.frostfbs.com/

Check out Zink if you want some sweet graphics. Love Drug and Temple also make some killer boards. Look around and see which appeals most to you.

And maybe you guys think that getting a close up complete might be a better option for your first wooden fingerboard?

In my opinion if you're on a tight budget I would suggest buying one quality product over a cheap complete. if you've got $30 to spend then I would suggest buying a great deck and have Tech Deck hardware until you can slowly start to upgrade the wheels and bushings etc.
