| Another thing I'm doing for Texas Rendezvous 4, which will be in July of summer 2014 is this. It's a tiny small sort of park. Just yet another project I felt like starting. I made all of the ramps except for one and I'm thinking about having a ramp or something with a rail or ledge down it so that there exists something in this park to grind on. I also put a wall ride on this one and its pretty fun so far. |

| thanks for the feedback guys.
to expand the park since i want to use this wooden table as the park i will move the ramps further out and even over the edge like 6 inches on each side.
to make it not look strange i will put extra wood under the ramps to make it look as if the original table was longer.
i might add some stairs and a down rail down them where the missing spot is.
and i was originally planning on putting a flat rail right in the middle of it. in its current state it would be too cramped, but after i expand it, then the flat rail in the middle will fit right in. |

| [update] I originally made these ramps for this small park, but for some reason I'm having second thoughts. I now realize that the park is just too small, I could extend it or......... maybe the best thing to do is really to just not have a park and keep the ramps as they are and not attached to the table. If you think about it, which is better to have, a park or all the ramps from a park? If you have ramps that are anchored down then they are simply just stuck there. So where am I going with this? I think maybe the best thing is just to keep them separate and make your own "park" with them by arranging them however you please. So in short I don't think I'm going to turn them into a park as of now, but I'm not done with them either. Normally if I just created these for myself I'd just leave them as they are, but these ramps are for the Texas event so I'm trying to make them extra special. Usually I don't like painting ramps because I like the feel of real wood, but since these ramps were made from random wood scraps I decided to paint them. I'm painting the top parts of them gray and I will paint the sides of them black. This is what they look like now. If you want to skate them they will be at the texas event! Woooo! |

| And this thread is also getting merged with the massive roll-over I'm working on too. here it is and its almost complete. now, somebody said that my ramps were over sized, but honestly i just like them big. this roll-over is pretty big, but when you skate on it, it doesnt feel big, it feels just right. i like making big obstacles simply because i feel that it gives me room and freedom while riding it. and by the way, this thing is fun as heck! ive skated it and i love it. this also took me a long time to make as well. many hours went into making it. |

| finally put coping on the quarter pipe and i also put together a bank ramp, but this one is extremely steep. normally i wouldn't even make a bank ramp this steep, but i had some pieces of wood from another project which just so happen to make the sides of a bank ramp and thus it was easy to build. and i honestly didnt think this steep bank ramp was going to be fun, but i tested it out and to my surprise its amazing! another thing i've been thinking about is my ramp size. its just my personal preference to have big ramps. i like big ramps simply because i want to have room and freedom while fingerboarding. i dont want to feel restricted or feel cramped and so i make my ramps big. one thing that im going to test out in the near future is... are my ramps to scale or not. what i want to do is measure my fingers or my fingerboard deck and then compare that to a real skateboard or real person's height from their waist down and then measure my ramps and then measure some real life ramps at my skateboard park. i'm really curious if my ramps are over scaled or not. it might be that some of my ramps are more of a realistic size in proportion to real life skate park ramps, but a possible reason why companies don't make ramps as big as mine is simply because the shipping costs would be unreasonable. here is another ramp im working on. its going to be a bank ramp up to flat and then a bank ramp down with a horizontal metal handrail on the flat part. in the pic im just getting started. |

| Okay, I believe that I have a pretty important post here. I'd post it in the main new section, but to avoid possibly getting deleted (happens all the time) I've decided to post it here. My question is, to what scale is fingerboarding based on? What do I mean by this? I mean what is the proportion that fingerboarding is related to skateboarding in terms of a ratio. So I did just a quick test with my own setups to try and figure this out. Here are the measurements that I made: Measured my real skateboard length (31 in) Measured the length of an average sized fingerboard (100mm or 3.937 in) Measured the distance from the floor to my waist (33 in) I'm 6 feet tall. Measured the distance from the floor to my "waist" on my fingerboarding hand (3.5 in) Now you use the following proportions: (Fingerboard Length)/(Real Skateboard length) and (Finger hand waist height)/(Real waist height) This is what I got. For board length. (100 mm)/(31 in) approx = 0.127, which is close to 0.125 which is 1/8 scale. For waist height. (3.5 in)/(33 in) approx = 0.10606, which is close to 0.111 which is 1/9 scale. Now this is only just one example which was done with just a single person. To get a more accurate approximation this test could be used on many different individuals as well as different board types. Not all boards are of the same length and different people have different heights so more information would be needed to make a better conclusion, but since the 1/8 scale for the board and the 1/9 scale for the person are pretty close this should give an idea or some indication on to what scale fingerboarding is based on. Now, all I have to do is go measure some ramps at my skate park so I can see how well my ramps are to scale. |

| I think you're getting too offended and fingerboards are close to 1/8th scale. A bit bigger though, I have a 1/8 scale model car and the board is definitely too big to be correct, it fits across the whole car door to door. |

| update Here is the bank ramp with the long flat rail soon to be made. Here is the almost completed ramp. All I need to do is put the rail in which I've already made. This was actually a ramp I made way back in high school that survived sorta. It used to have a ramp part on it, but it broke off and I amputated it. |
