| One thing that is wrong with fingerboarding today is that the people that have good products, doesn't have the good SEO.
The problem is the SEO can make any shitty company look good on Google. |

I'm afraid I don't see my value for money in having you fill out a form on behalf of me and clicking 'Submit'.
Now, off you fuck. |

The problem is the SEO can make any shitty company look good on Google. It's all about the online presence, so many of these companies have had a lot of effort put into them and don't see a real turnaround, you're completely right. |

I've worked with a few marketing departments through my job. Fingerboarding doesn't need it. I really don't understand how fingerboarding gets these business and marketing types knocking round like annoying flies every now and then. I can guarantee you that you won't make nearly as much money as you think. Others have tried, others have failed, you're just the newest member of the Dead Horse Beating Society. |

If there's Google searches and a demand for products there's a need for SEO You're about 10 years too late anyway. A decade ago companies were emerging, we only found them through our community. Now those companies are huge, we know where to go and what to look for. Companies emerging now are active in the community, and that's what sets fingerboarding aside. Our companies are our peers. So when someone comes on our forum brand new, and tries to swindle a bit of quick cash out of us, it unnerves us. Do yourself a favour. |

| Yeah, the guys are right. As a community, fingerboarders hate your kind of bullshit.
Do yourself a favour and leave, nobody needs or wants this service. The companies that already have it are the ones that nobody respects or even recognises as part of the scene. |

| There was no need to be dicks about it, to clarify I'm an avid fingerboarder myself and I won't be leaving. I'll be staying around here for a while contributing to the threads and there are one or two people interested, just fyi.

| whether this guy has the ability to help someone out with their company or not, i feel like hes getting uneeded shit. at least he's not coming off as a prick and to me seems like he genuinely wants to help some people out. if youre not interested, you dont have to be a dick about it. for fuck sakes i understand fingerboarding is much deeper than just a hobbie to most of us but no one needs to get so offended or defensive over shit like this. just my opinion
Edit: also, guys, HE FINGERBOARDS TOO. treat him as an equal because that's what he is. if it was one of my first times being on this forum and someone straight told me to leave because of an idea i had, i probably would because thats just putting out unnecessary negative vibes that i wouldnt wanna be apart of. constructive criticism can be a good thing, but not when it seems like youre talking down to the person. |

Hahaha best emoticon for this situation. Anyways, I thought I should say here (since I actually am a web developer) that fingerboarding is not something companies (on here at least) are actively trying to get sales from kids who just search "fingerboard" on google. No, we don't want to turn into on of those shitty eBay and china companies because we need SEO. This is extremely unnecessary and just a waste of time. If someone here wants to buy a deck, they look on the forums and the companies and find what's right for them. Fingerboarding shouldn't be some sort of business empire kind of thing where every company wants to make millions of dollars, it's just a fun little hobby that people do for FUN. People make decks for fun also, and it's fun to get sales but SEO? No need. Also, what are you gonna do, install the Yoast SEO plugin on a Wordpress site? You provided no credentials. |

The market is already being ruined by shitty china companies, Blackriver have felt that pretty hard as everyone knows. If people come here and promote ways to become another one of these shitty china companies the issue is just going to get worse. |

| i could understand why it wouldnt be the best idea to promote his services without being active on the forum for a while first, but whos to say that only people getting their shit from china would want his help? and who knows, maybe this guy is smart enough to know not to help promote a company with stuff from china. i just think peoples opinions could be expressed and criticism could be made without trying to completely shit on this guy, especially when it seems like he really doesnt deserve it (so far) |

From my experience, the community is pretty good at pointing out and staying away from China companies, so I wouldn't say they're ruining the market... There more of an annoyance than a problem. Also, I don't think most companies would need any marketing help, it's a pretty niche market. Basically only accessible by a couple forums and YouTube videos. |

| This guy came around to r/fingerboards on reddit too trying to peddle his shit.
The only problem I have with him is the first thing he presents himself as is his SEO stuff, not a fingerboarder. If he joined up and said, "Hey, I'm a fingerboarder, check out my cool fingerboard stuff!" and then a few days later posted about his work I wouldn't have a problem, but the fact that he's essentially going around, "door to door" trying to do his thing annoys me. |
