| Subject: Hooded Fingerboards... 35x105 deck, but those trucks! Thu Nov 27, 2014 9:21 am | |
So I just read the article on Unite about Hooded and their giant complete decks that are going to be released. Did anyone scope out the trucks on those beasts? Here's a link to the Instagram image: http://instagram.com/p/v3grqkmVO4/ Does anyone know what kind of trucks those are because they look real wide compared to the 29mm China trucks they sell on their site (and much nicer shaping). Maybe a newly designed truck to support the x-wide deck? Just speculating. It would be cool to have another option for wide trucks. Here's the Google translate for the image caption: "It is released this Sunday . Package also I was produced put power! I am glad if you could use as a display"

So you think it's 29mm hangers with longer axels and the spacer bushings to make 32mm, then washers after that? I have yet to see true 32mm China trucks, just the modified 29's.

^^ I agree, all of the close up pics of the decks look pretty shoddy. The overall shape is like a canoe. I was just commenting on the trucks included with the 35mm complete. Didn't know if anyone else heard about them being different than the standard or modified china wide.

Bet you they are regular china wides on those big decks. Sure looks like it. Nothing wrong with that though. Its not like they are advertising those wide decks being sold with anything else then the basic china hardware to get you going. So its more or less the same thing most companies would do to be able to offer a complete to anyone whos not ready or able to invest big cash in a nice setup. I am sure their completes will work just fine and bring happy times fingerboarding. Like in skateboarding, its not the setup that makes the skater. The most impressive skaters are the ones that can skate anything..
