| I see a lot of videos with boxes that have a granite top... What's the typical cost of granite slabs like that? |

| It really depends where you get it. If it is that small it wouldn't be too expensive. People think it is really expensive because most granite is for like kitchen tabletops and is huge and thick. |

| I got a slab of granite for free at a stonecutter shop. You should try this. |

| Nope, it was like a clipping of a granite. That guy, who let me take it, was kind enough that he has even trimmed the slab to the dimensions I wanted. |

| There is a stone shop close to my house, they let me dig through the dumpster (not garbage) of all the cut offs.....
So much in there! |

| Your local stone shop is your best bet, usually they will hook it up. There are also places online that send samples you can use, free of charge... And there is always going to lowes or Home Depot and buyin a box of 5 granite tiles for like 25 bucks.
If you've got a wet saw you are set. |

| I found a site online that sends free samples. Anyone know the typical size of a free sample? I would assume it's not very large... Wonder if it's large enough to make a small box |

| If you are using Build Direct they will send up to 5 samples I think, and each are like 3" or 4" squares (but might have some chipping in the corners). |
