| I got my friend into fingerboarding and its his birthday in about 2 weeks. I don't know if I should get him a wooden fingerboard right off the bat or get him a Tech Deck and work upwards from that. I'm getting him one of the wider, lower concave style one so he can get used to it. I want to know what you guys think. Tech Deck or Fingerboard first? It'd be cool if you say why. Thanks guys :~) |

| maybe a cheap china set up, or a expert wooden tech deck. I'm assuming part of why he got into it is cuz he liked your set up. it would be too cheap to just buy him a regular plastic td.
at the same time, i don't want to recommend you spend a ton of money on something he might not pursue. maybe you could gift him an old (better than china) set up as well? |

| I'm thinking I might get a 10-15 dollar wooden fingerboard and then just get him china trucks, wheels, and maybe some Riptape. I feel like getting a TD isn't good enough. |
