| I noticed these are $35 USD, but read they're comparable to the generic brands like 4c and star..
I was looking at pro wood boards for 25 or close up for 35. Are close up fingerboards even better than pro wood? Any thoughts on pro wood and close up are appreciated |

| 4C and Star are china boards. They are not made by fingerboarders but made in china that why they are cheap. If its handmade by the scene completes go up to over $100. |

| There's a huge difference in shape, and overall build quality.
I started with a bkf, which is the same as 4c and star, and it feels mushier, not rounded as well, and not pressed as thin as my nicer decks. Its also extreme shaped and has that weird flat spot concave like all other china decks. That aside, I'm happy with the hardware it came with (china CNC and wides do the job and I still use them), but the deck is something I will never use again. |
