Hi, i'm new here and i'm needing some help. I just got a FlatFace G14 Complete and i'm trying to learn how to Ollie. When ever i'm about to Ollie, i just hesitate and get anxious and no matter how hard i try, cant move or just attempt to do it. Its very frustrating. Some assurance or help would be nice?

Used to happen to me too. I just had to kind of force myself to stop.

Thanks. Yeah... Like last night, i could ollie fine. It happens occasionally but when it does it ruins me. Oh, i forgot to mention, this isnt the first time ive ever fingerboarded...

Try not to think about it so much. If it's really bothering you, take a break and come back to fingerboarding in a few minutes or hours. You'll get it with practice!

Yeah, sometimes I have days where my hand feels hesitant to do any tricks, or I just can't do anything properly. Happens to everyone from time to time!

what Rob said, also sleep. muscle memory is formed the most while youre asleep. one day youll wake up and start fingerboarding and notice a difference, but you do have to practice and give it time. also great profile pic lol such a clever one for this forum

Thanks Joe. This is helping. I'll give it a go tommorow and see how I'll do.

Always helps to put something in the way and practice going over it.

Don't overthink it. Sometimes if you think too much about what you need to do for a trick it psyches you out. Just almost be "casual" about it

well ive been trying quite a while and still no luck... its super frustrating like i just wanna snap my board... !

Havent had this problem myself....but.....I'd say this.......slowwww down. Try to go slower, most people fingerboard at warp speed and it can be hard to focus. Also, maybe just every time you are walking around the house or going places fingerboard with your fingers, just minus the fingerboard. Like literally imaginary fingerboarding. It is easy to just nonchalantly run your fingers along the counter or a rail or something while your walking and just ollie up stuff, onto stuff, over gaps, onto walls, etc. as you pass by them. It's fun, discreet enough so you dont look crazy, and will probably get your mind going for the ollies as long as you do the motion of it everytime.
