Is there a standard measurement for having LOW,MEDIUM and HIGH concave? as well as on kicks? for newbies like me, it's hard to distinguish different shapes.. please help!

not really, i had the same issue before. It will be easier when you own some decks to compare for yourself.
Otherwise, pictures always help. If the company doesn't provide proper pics, do a google search to see more details of the deck.
If you're talking about specific stuff, just ask here. People can share their experiences with you.
Medium is always good to start with. Higher kicks sometimes make learning tricks a little easier. Low kicks are harder for beginners, but a good choice later.

Low concave would be around 1mm and downwards, high concave would be around 2mm Id say (or 3mm for extreme concave) and that would put medium concave somewhere in the middle like 1.5mm or there abouts..

Then there are different deck shapes, deck widths, deck lengths, wheelbase, kick lengths, sharp or flowing kicks, dips, rails and rail lengths etc etc..
