So I'm looking into buying a new board and I like the looks and shapes of Almosts, but I've heard that they use crappy china wood. Could someone give me some opinions?
Thanks!

I had one of those impact decks, the plates fell out and even if they didn't it was still a very bad deck.

Almost are made by dwindle, who make cliche, blind and dark star. If you want a quality board, get something either american made ( Watson, chapman, pennswood, south central, fickle, powell peralta ) or Mexican ( ps stix). For the same price and MUCH better quality, definitely get an American made board. Bacon, dieta, hopps, politic, northern co, fickle, wknd, scum co, powell peralta, snack. Lots of smaller companies. If you go ps stix, it's mexican pressed and american screened/graphics. Ps stix is black label, older welcome's although people say the new ones are still stix wood, alien and habitat used to be ps but since the switch I'm not 100% sure on those, deluxe boards are made in Mexico too, but there are lots of domestic options too. Sorry for the long lost, but from prior experience, most usa pressed boards are a lot better than big name companies. Plus, the money stays here in the USA.

Just my two cents

Almost decks are really really flat. Love the team, hate the decks.
If I were to recommend a deck, I'd say anti-hero all the way... Although you couldn't really go wrong with any DLX wood company. Like Krooked, and real etc.

listen to jackson but add bareback wood to that list. it's sometimes listed as generator but it's literally the same thing.
