| I did some testing with an old trick for getting concrete look on wooden structures by using drywall oint compound (also known as drywall mud) colored with a drop of black acryllic paint to get that nice light gray color. Great success! Simply mix and apply with like a spatula or simular and try to make it nice and smooth. Mistakes can be sanded out and also sanding can make surface nice and smooth where needed. Try not to put on too thick of a layer, a few milimetres will do. When fully cured and surface is to your liking simply give it a nice coat of clear coat to seal the job.. Get creative and enjoy the tip guys!

| If you are asking if the black acryllic paint will blend with the drywall trowel the answer is yes, as long as the drywall joint compound (also known as drywall mud) is a waterbased type.. Also note that the scrap piece of wood in the picture simply got a quick covering with what I bothered to mix at the time I did the experiment. I could with ease have made it look even more impressing if I put some effort into it. I just rushed it to give it a go in a hurry.. The marks along the length on each side is from a few grind tests. Its awesome!

| Correct me if I'm wrong, but when I google Drywall Trowel, this shows up. When you say,"as long as the drywall trowel is a waterbased type.." It was really confusing for me. I am dead tired so I could be totally missing something. By Drywall Trowel are you thinking of something else? The only reason I'm so curious is because I really want to try this! Like I said I am half asleep at the moment, but anyways, let me know! much love<3 |

| Ahh...lol...no, youre right It was me that was tired. What I should have said was joint compound (also known as drywall mud). Thank you for pointing this out, and no wonder it was confusing..lmfao!! I will edit to correct it so its understandable.. |

Surprisingly similar I would say. I like it a lot. Dirt cheap, light weight and easy to work with.. |
