| ayo this is going to be my carboard park and i'm planning on finishing it pretty soon. here i want to discuss some ideas and proper tips for building this park. this is what i've built so far. i'm gonna post some sketchup ideas later this day. planning on building this wavy run with a ledge next to it, kinda like the one of the blackriver parks. does anyone happen to know how to build an outside corner of a quarterpipe? i can't find any proper building plans on google. thanks! |

| What are you using to make the surface strong and rigid? |

| i wish i had the proper tools and craftsmanship to make it out of wood. else i would've done it already.
this is the technique i use for making the ramps and parts.
- make the riding surface the exact dimensions you want the parts to be. - cut the sides and supports about 2mm less (depends on thickness of the cardboard) and apply pieces of tape to the sides of the riding surface. - bend the surface around the sides/supports and apply the tape very tighty by slightly pulling it towards the sides/supports. it also helps to make slight cuts in the tape about every 5 cm so there's less chance of getting airbubbles or wrinkles in the tape. - once the tape is applied, i smear a line of woodglue on the inside corners of the parts for an extra seal and extra strength. |

| Cardboard ftw! Any plans on putting something like poster board on it to make it smooth or is the cardboard you're using smooth already? It's looking sweet! |

| The park looks crazy good, you've taken carboard ramps to the next level, and yet it looks super clean. The design of the park also helps aloot! Pleas update when you make something new, Id love to see the progress on this |

| thanks for all the kind words yall! i'm not really planning on covering the park with anything. the cardboard is pretty much smooth as it is and i think concrete would make the cardboard soggy and will make the park collapse under its weight. i do put poster board on the transitions, because the cardboard underneath it is ribboned by the bending.
@nick i didnt buy the cardboard, but took some from my job in a warehouse. they have plenty of leftover cardboard you can take home if you want. |
