If there weren't these"gay parades" and lgbtq pride things that you are so opposed to, then I guarantee you that the lgbt community would not be nearly as "accepted" as it is now. Sexuality isn't a choice. You didn't choose to be straight did you?

me disagreeing with a viewpoint is ignorant? when someone isn't educated about a certain topic, they are ignorant. couch is not educated in lgbqta issues, so that makes him ignorant. i have tried to educate people, but i guess he just doesn't want to hear it. being hateful towards a certain group is not "having an opinion". it is being ignorant. if this were a thread about race and someone said something blatantly racist and said it was an opinion, they would get so much shit. this is no different. you do not choose your sexuality just like you do not choose the color of your skin.

The majority of people who disagree with gay/lesbian lifestyle are religious extremists anyway, so why cater to such ignorance? I've honestly never met a levelheaded, respectable person who didn't agree with people having the freedom to choose their own love/lifestyle. Why devote so much air time to convincing stupid people? I just feel like all this energy gets used up spreading awareness for something that, at the end of the day, really doesn't matter. Gays will be gay at the end of the day. And the hungry will still die of hunger. Genocides will still secretly occur. Freedoms will sneakily be stripped from the distracted.

I feel like some issues deserve more attention than others.

I bet the turnout for a "End the use of unmanned drones" parade would be miniscule compared to the turnout for a pride parade. That's where I get annoyed. People only care about the issues their programming box gives to them.

EDIT: Keep in mind, I come from a place where gay marriage is allowed. I understand that there's a lot more gay/lesbian hate in America, but I still think that mainly comes from a religious majority.
