| I think the majority of us have a problem with the amount of noise that seshing can make. For me, my mom always complains about the sounds when I pop and land. I know that marble, granite, and tiles are good ways to reduce the noise level of seshing but that can be expensive. Something I came up with was buying a foam poster board from the dollar store which cost me only $1.50. Then I cut the board to about a foot in width, stuck some fun tack on the bottom, and I had a removable riding surface! When I'm done seshing I just stick the board behind my desk. I would leave the board there, but my desk is in my dining room and my mom complains that it looks ugly. Cons to my method: Dents and other marks from landing primo start to show up. If your board is white it gets stained very easily by food and drinks Board grips the wheels a bit more. I'd like to hear what you guys have done to not make seshing as loud! |

| Sesh on paper, wrap your wheels in urethane tubing, bearing lube, and become deaf. |

| This is an interesting topic...I am blessed in the sense of I can make all the noise in the world ANY time of day/night and not disturb ANYONE...living on a few acres of 'bushland' is good like that Hmm...not much I can suggest here. When I used to fingerboard in high-school during class I would often fingerboard of books as it substantially muffled the sound...also used to practice on my leg for this reason. As you already pointed out it mostly comes down to the surface you fingerboard on. Another good surface option to reduce sound would be to fingerboard on a large 'cutting mat' (kind of like this one: https://2img.net/h/i15.photobucket.com/albums/a358/feliciak/NewA1CuttingMatSide2Corner-700.jpg). Thats providing you can find one cheap enough :/ Is the noise a problem with your parents ÁLL of the time or just certain hours of the day/night? - Jono

| either soft material like the others are suggesting or a hard granite type thing. My desk is really loud because it isn't that thick and its ply. Granite isn't that loud but soft things like mouse pads and magazines can almost completely eliminate sound, some people use cutting mats, I'm not sure if that does anything and all of this depends on what you want.
Hope I helped! |

| ive never had a problem with noise when it comes to fingerboarding, it's called closing your door and putting some music on. putting poster board or shit like that imo makes the board's pop suffer. if anyone is in a bizarre situation where their house is very open with really no private rooms, well then thats ass and i feel bad for you |

Also, my desk is wood but there's drawers which makes the sound louder. I only use the poster board at night, and yes it does take away some pop |

| If you are using obstacles who are hollow on the inside put some tee's under it ... If your problem is when you are skating flat ... I think the only way is to buy a thick piece of wood you can use as a base... |
