Nobody has approved people in the BST thread since August. So there are people queued up that aren't getting in. Could you just open the thread for everyone? The site is getting way less traffic then before so you may as well. Or just approve the people that have been waiting for months.

I see I'm not quite an "active contributor" but the site has less than 10 threads a week. I don't want to spam old threads. I understand, I guess. I'm pretty sure through my 10 posts that I am not a spam bot or troll. Guess I'll stick to Instagram. Thank you for the fast responses!

How many responses do I need to make to be active? I have some Homewood and Berlinwood boards I want to trade

We've been talking about it in the mod/admin section and we think around 6000 non spam posts would be enough to qualify as an active member.

An update also:

Soon a rule will be implemented where each time you post in the bst section, you need to post a photo of yourself holding the days newspaper (for date proof). Obviously local newspapers don't count.

haha SiCar I pray you aren't serious about the newspaper thing. Just make people use PayPal if you are worried about scammers. If you "pay as goods" and someone doesn't deliver you can dispute the transaction.

But seriously, I probably won't use this site anymore besides reference. I've traded and sold fingerboards countless times on Instagram. So this site just loses more people from the scene by being so restrictive. Sure I'll keep reading the posts if I have a question, but c'mon.

I don't think you're doing yourself any favors with this post. Why not just be an active member?  People post on this forum everyday...if you think this forum is dead, why not try to change that and contribute to conversations and threads?

As far as post counts for BST...I am willing to bet that everyone would much prefer to trade/buy/sell with posters they are familiar with, not ones that just made an account to sell something. That always seems a little suspect.

No I agree with what you guys are saying. It builds the community more here. If you put the time into it you get more out of it. Got it. I just wish I could post it up here like I do on Instagram and reach more people. It's all good though boys and girls I'll try to post more.

just start getting involved if that makes sense. comment on peoples setups when they are posted. comment on peoples videos when they post them. Think of some good stuff to post in the off topics section of the forum. start hanging out in the chat room. just a few examples.
