Hey guys if you are a beginner and want a good setup and don't want to spend a bunch of money here is a video with some cool setup ideas!

And most the decks i put in there are berlinwoods but the setups are also great with other decks too such as Cowply,Weca,BeastPants,Homewood etc you may be able to save 10-30 that way very happy

Heres a link to the vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ppjol-Nn4Q happy

berlinwoods are kinda expensive for a beginner imo.

i'd personally go with a pure ($18)
(or really any $15-$30 deck like a unique, temple, zink (besour?), level up, MILKDECK wink, og, blosom, or honestly any deck in the banner)
tech deck longboard trucks ($8 )
creamy goo from someone ($1)
oak rv+ whites because you're going to eventually buy them because they're worth the money ($36)
and witchcrafts ($3.50) (the og bushings)
which totals $66.50 without shipping, so you've got some money left over.

just my opinion. no reason to buy china 29mm trucks and china tape (it sucks super bad imo)

good video anyways, you might want to talk a bit louder and more confidently.

There's plenty of good/low priced decks out there.
What I did when I started riding wooden boards was look up different reviews on YouTube to see which one I thought would match my preferences.

The banner on FBHQ is a good place to start looking. You can also check out what other decks are posted on the Newest Setup thread, ect. Browse reviews on YouTube, Unite, or the review section on here.
Find what you think you'll like the best (width, shape, kicks, concave, graphic, ect) and go for it. Everyone has different preferences so I personally wouldn't go by what someone else says is a good ride... their preferences could be completely different to yours.

For trucks, get whatever fits best with your board width. If you have a wide board, get some Tech Deck longboard trucks. If you deck is 30mm or less, get 29mm China trucks from Broken Knuckle or another low priced company. They're labeled as "crap" but they get the job done and ride well.

For tuning, go with your preference... if you like loose tuning, get some of the shaped tuning (Witchcraft, Bubble Bushings, FBS Revolitions, Chubz, Booger Bushings ect). If you like medium or tight, go with an o-ring/washer option from a company (Teak Tuning, FlatFace, ect). Just be careful not to buy China Tuning... it rips faster than most other tuning.

For wheels, get Oaks only if you like grippy wheels. If you like smooth wheels, get FlatFace or even some CNC Lathe wheels. They're not actually that bad despite their stigmas.

For tape, you can get just about anything really... there's plenty of tape to go around, but the deck you buy might already come with some!

Personally, do your own research instead of getting what someone tells you is best. Their preferences might be different to yours. happy

Pretty much if you can find a good source creamy goo comes quite cheap
