| Hey everyone!
So here's one thing that bothers me all the time. Even if my tape is brand new (I only have Riptape though), the feel and grip varies so much. One time I'll pick up my board and I will have excellent grip, the next time it feels all slippery and my board flies all over the place due to the lack of grip and control. I understand that unlike shoes on a real board your fingers are in different conditions throughout the day, dry, dirty, greasy, sweaty, whatever.
What do you do to "condition" your board and/or your hands to get a good grip? It helps a bit to clean the tape with some clear water and dry it off beforehand, but it doesn't last long. Any tricks are appreciated! |

| Just apply some packing tape or simular, then gently peal off and your tape should be nice and clean. This is pretty common knowlage.. |

Thanks dude, sounds like a good idea. My question wasn't meant to be just about cleaning tipps though, I was hoping to learn some tricks for when your fingers just won't stick. For example I once read that when you fingers tend to stick on your phones screen, run them through your hair and they will go nicely again, because of the oil in your hair. I'm looking to learn some similar hacks for the grippyness problem I tried applying some hair spray before but it didn't help at all. |

| Personally I feel like the more oily the less grippy my fingers are. I have clammy hands so I usually wash my hands with cheap bar soap before I sesh because it dries my skin |

| TNP tape is your answer. FBS gets too sticky after a while and it feels gooey and horrible. |

| Duct tape/ packaging tape method: put strip of tape on grip, peel off. Done. Water/heat method: Apply small amount of water to grip, get hot with lighter or desk lamp. You're welcome. |

| TNP tape is really grippy, I have never really had this problem before but just clean off your tape and it should improve. |
