| So I haven't been in the game for about 8 years (stopped around '08, started in 99 when I was 9) and recently decided to look into how the community's been doing. Stoked with what I found. Wheel and truck technology is so, so impressive, as well as board graphics. Plied wood decks were getting pretty big when I left but now the quality of boards is just amazing. Went with a simple and economical setup just to start off again; Homewood, Ytrucks, RV2 Oaks, and FBS grip. Fucking loving it. The only plied decks I had when I left the scene were an Evolve, a Close-Up, and a Berlinwood old mold, but these new wider decks and trucks are perfect for my hand size (I have bigger hands and always despised the size of smaller decks). Now just waiting on some Witchcraft bushings (which from scoping around on the forums seem as if they will take...a while to arrive) and an NPRcrete quarter bank to come in the mail to to jam on. Hoping to get ahold of a Woob soon (amongst others, great to see so many companies doing well these days), and a bunch of awesome obstacles and ramps I've been seeing.  |
