| Hey guys! My name is Shelly. I've started a indiegogo campaign so I can start making fingerboards, this has been my dream for a year and a half now and i've never been able to accomplish it because i've never had the money to do so. If you want to help in any way you can it would be amazing! Whether you're donating a dollar or sharing it with your fingerboard community anything is great. Please help me out i feel as if i have alot of potential. Thank you for reading guys and here's the indiegogo link. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/dixylit-fingerboards/x/12418240#/ |

| not to be a dick, but if you're trying to go indiegogo/kickstarter style, you need a LOT more of an explanation than that. what will the money you get buy? how will you make the decks? what do you know already? what do you need to know? also check for spelling/grammar errors |

| You really don't need that much money to get going. You can but a cheaper mold for around $30. some veneer for about $15, and some glue/epoxy $5. I am sure you could make that on your own. Cutting grass, shovelling snow, babysitting, whatever...
If you are not really willing to put any effort into getting your company of he ground, what type of effort will be going into the decks?
Just my opinion.. |

| Good luck with everything, but as KapitalJ said, it's not going to be all that expensive to start making decks. You can easily find other ways to earn money. You certainly do not need strangers to donate you $500 bucks as your campaign indicates. |

| decent idea, terrible execution. as Kerry said, we need more of an explanation, and having been on the forum for a few months with some posts under your belt would help as well

| Any decks already made? Would like to see some actual product development, projections, progress, and a bit more about what you have to offer. As a business owner who used a crowd funding site to help our start up, it was really beneficial to show people that we already had everything in motion and ready (such as the building we were renting, the design for the parkour setup inside, a bit about our business model and plan, background information about parkour and our team and why our gym was a good idea. As well as the assets we already had and saying exactly what we would be using the money for [which was not to buy/fund our entire business]). Next to this we already had an existing market and target market, which some people here mentioned. Like being in the forum, people know you and know you already make decks that you havent sold yet, and people expressing interest in your homemade decks, etc.
Lot's to think about. It is easy to get excited about an idea and think, "Wow! I could get this going right now from crowd funding then bam I'm done!" But business and owning a company always takes so much fine detail work and planning. You should be looking like an iceburg at all times if you get what I mean. |
