But if you want a little explanation...

Ambt (pronounced 'ambient') is a project I've had in my head for a long time. I've always wanted to make decks, but never managed to make it work for one way or another. I've also always wanted to merge my other interests into fingerboarding, namely my love for anime, manga, and comics. The whole thing came together thanks to FBMold, who I work with to produce part of the boards for me - as I have no space to press of shape decks. The rest of the deck creation process is done by me, and the result is a deck that comes with a fair price tag and decent quality.

The shape is inspired by a few decks I've loved over the years, and it's a medium kick shape with very low concave. You barely notice it until you need it, and then it's there. Sounds weird, but I find it amazing to ride and really comfortable whilst allowing control when needed.

The first stock drops on saturday, and decks are £11 each. That gets you a 33x101mm deck which comes with a free sheet of Weca tape and Ambt logo stickers.

love this idea (i've been making decks with anime and manga inspired graphics for myself for a while now)
the monogotari series is great! what other series do you plan on using (would love to see evangelion or ghost in the shell decks)

They look amazing! But, as mentioned by WantSomeSlaw, 101mm is extremely long. I would suggest shortening the wheelbase by 1-2mm and very slightly shortening the kicks? But, that said, they still look amazing and I'd love to try one!

Damn these look great! 101 mm sounds great because after you're done trashing the board after a few months you can reshape the kicks into something unique like this.

One thing that scares me are copyright issues but I really doubt a Japanese company will go after a fingerboard that uses their material.

It really doesn't feel long at all, it just sounds long. I find 98 has either a tiny tiny wheelbase or kicks that are too short. Honestly, if that's your only worry I think you should try one anyway when they drop, they're really fun to ride in my opinion! @WantSomeSlaw @_jdfb

@skatemaster231 with copyright a) I intend to do much more creative things with the graphics in future so they'll be more 'my work' and thus fall under Fair Use of copyright law - like that guy who stole people's instagram pictures and sold them for like 100,000 dollars and got away with fair use when the people who's pictures they were sued him as the comment he'd posted on instagram was his own work. and b) I highly doubt they'd ever see it XD I mean if sites like teefury can get away with breaking copyright on hundreds of different geeky things each month and they've been going for years, I'm sure I can make some tiny skateboards

This is a really nice idea! I know anime is pretty huge so I reckon the graphics will be desirable to tons of people and the price is really on the money!

The shape looks different and my friend is looking at getting one at cf. Ill try his and then decide, but I might just pick one up cause they look sick!

fucking love it im picking one up for sure very few companies make shapes like this anymore. shot in the dark...... are these decks being made by Max from freeride fingerboards? shape looks damn close to his decks from years ago! and hes from Russia just putting 2 and 2 together! lol =D

nope, as I said they're made in collaboration with fbmold. the mold is my design and wont be found on any other decks.

thanks though everyone! the two secret decks for stock 1 just finished drying, I'll be taking photos and taking the webshop into maintenance mode later on ready to launch with all products live tomorrow morning

Damn, these look dope!!! And 101mm...nice...very, very nice Really like my boards to be long like these...my freakishly large 'Lurch hands' just cant do small/low-profile boards

Decks look really nice Kerry! Excited to see more decks in the future

Everything sounds really good, I especially love the shape of the deck. Sounds quite similar to the blosom dimensions, which can only be a really good thing! The remind me of hookups decks way back when, I wanted one of those so badly!

The only issue for me, as far as I can see, is the use of paper graphics. Although I do understand the reasoning behind it, I'm still not a fan. Woodprint or real wear would totally sell me on these

Sneak peek of stock 2 ready for lacquer. It's a special larger stock that'll have two of each graphic rather than one, so that more people can get a chance to try these boards. Stock 1 sold out in 15 minutes so I want to give more people an opportunity to pick one up
