Instagram blew up with fingerboarding and then the active ones on here got hit with life. Doesn't help that Kerry ended Unite a while ago.

This place used to be awesome in the early days. Everyone friendly and chatty & helpful.

I know nothing stays the same forever, but where are the new young blood fingerboarders? I'm sure they're out their, just not here.

Man this hits home. Went through it once already with FBSpot, admins left and my 14 year old self was left in charge (ran it into the ground lmao). Sucks to see it happen here too.

Unfortunately, the internet changes quickly, and kids aren't growing up on phpBB forums anymore. I guess it's instagram now. I must be getting old, I thought instagram was for displaying photos, I had no idea there was such an active social element .

It's going well! I've started doing multimedia production and I'm really enjoying it. Now that I'm actually good at it, I would love to make some awesome fingerboarding content. Unfortunately, I don't think I'm so good at fingerboarding anymore. :/

I really miss this; there's just something about posting on this style of forum that gets me right in the nostalgia. I follow some of the OGs on instagram, but I really don't use the app all that much, and the way that IG sorts content just does not show me anything fingerboarding related. Kinda sad

I'm going to try to improve though. At the start it'll be picking up the deck maybe, idk, once a week or so. But I'll try. And I think I'll get better. Eventually I might fb every day, and hopefully I'll find that spark again. I'd like for it to be just as fun as it used to be, but I honestly don't know how realistic that expectation is.

Kind of a rambling post... Regardless, I encourage anybody who reads this and feels the same way to challenge yourself. Pick it up again, have fun. Let's relearn this wonderful hobby together.

I agree with Danny even though I'm irrelevant, any post is a good post. I miss logging on and seeing tons of new stuff in portal and always seeing at least 3 people in the chat whenever I logged on.
