Just curious and you don't have to speak up if you don't want to but I'm fairly new to this boards but with my time being here I've noticed you guys using racial, misogynistic, and homophobic slurs and personally I think its something as a community we should work on, I, myself am a proud transexual(MtF) and fingerboarder and I feel as if other transexual or homosexual people wouldn't feel safe in a community that uses these slurs.... what are your thoughts?

I agree. It's only a very small minority, but definitely something that gets really annoying/old. We actually had a LGBT thread in this section about a year ago and most people were pretty cool and respectful in it, but of course there were a select few ignorant posters and it was eventually locked (I think).

@pungent_stench - Thank you for challenging the behaviour instead of just leaving or stewing on it! I hope that it hasn't caused you too much upset. It's always jolting when it happens, and

I suspect that the reason that this behaviour slides by unchallenged, is because the forum is mostly composed of teenage boys. And maybe this will start a flamewar but, in my personal experience, this is a group of people who often exhibit prejudicial and exclusionary behaviour.

Something about burgeoning sexuality leaves some younger guys very insecure, which often manifests in sexuality/gender-based prejudices.

We are all humans who love (other) humans .
To be honest, I can't believe people can be so dumb about this subject , and how they can hate (other) people for their sexuality . It's like hating some kid for not liking chocolate or even for being allergic to chocolate ( since being gay is not a choice).
