| Hey guys, I am back after a long long break from fingerboarding (started in 2008 and stopped around 2012) and I think I'm ready to get back into it again. I heard the scene is all on here now and on instagram so I have a couple of questions. I remember back in the day 29mm-30mm was considered wide for a fingerboard, and these days it seems like 32 and 33 are the standard (holy!) Anyways, I was just wondering where I can get some trucks that aren't BRT's or Y's that will fit these fingerboards, I believe China trucks/ dump trucks would be too small so I'm not sure what the alternatives are. It's not that I doubt the quality of the higher end trucks and it's not that I don't have the money, it's just I rather not blow $120+ on a set up as I'm just getting back into the scene. Thanks for the help |

That is definitely one of my options, but I was hoping there were some sort of trucks that aren't brt or Y's that would fit 32mm so I could just build my own set up instead. |

That is definitely one of my options, but I was hoping there were some sort of trucks that aren't brt or Y's that would fit 32mm so I could just build my own set up instead. In all honestly 29 mm trucks will work fine on any decks that are 32 mm. 33 mm is a stretch so if you're going for that then china/dump trucks are definitely too small. Tech Deck Longboard trucks (the non inverted ones) are a popular choice with many. I'd say you should get some but recently the price for them have been increasing and it's becoming harder and harder to find. If you don't mind dealing with the devil a bit Roswell Fingerboards sells some 32 mm hangers that are already shaped and painted to a color of your choice. Here's a link to the right Tech Deck Longboard trucks: https://www.amazon.com/Tech-Deck-Cruiser-Long-Boards/dp/B009GCVH5K/ref=pd_sim_sbs_t_1(At the time of writing the price for these is $16.99 + $4.79 shipping) Here's a link to Roswell Fingerboard's 32 mm hangers: http://www.roswellsskateboards.com/32mm-shaped-fingerboard-truck-hangers/ (This one only comes with the Hanger, a sheet of grip, and a set of cheap o-rings. Not bad for 17.95 + shipping) Link for a full set of 32 mm trucks from Roswell's: http://www.roswellsskateboards.com/32mm-shaped-fingerboard-trucks/(These come with the baseplate, hanger, grip, tuning, and a free set of non bearing wheels. Not bad for $24.95 + shipping) |
