Hey guys! It's been a while since I've made a post here. I hope you all are doing well!

Over the past couple months, my BRT pivot cups have shredded into almost nothing. Every two tricks or so, one or both of my trucks will pivot off the cup and make it impossible to roll away.

Does anyone know of a good substitute for pivot cups? Would a bushing be a good substitute or would it not work as well or at all?

why not just order some new pivot cups?

I've heard of people putting electrical tape on the tip of their hangers as a makeshift pivot cup. I think a TDLB/Penny board bushing might work as a pivot cup too but I wouldn't know since I don't use BRTs. Doesn't hurt to try any of these methods. There is a company called Dislocation that sells aftermarket BRT replacement pivot cups in almost any color you can think of so you can always buy some if the bushing or electrical tape method doesn't work.

Awesome, thanks! I'll definitely give that a try next time I get my hands on some electrical tape.

As for not buying new ones, I just spent a ton of money on fixing my brakes so I'm doing my best to avoid any unnecessary purchases!

pivot cups from tech deck longboard baseplates do work with brt's, not the best but they do work

i've always done the electrical tape trick, it works really well with regular td trucks. its a tad tricky and looks silly sometimes though.
