Out of these three, which is the best? Oak, birch, or pine? Oak kinda has a nice look to it, but idk.

Birch is good but pine is little more stiff and a little more dense for a really solid feel. i found that decks perform really well on it.

So Pine is better? It's only costs a little bit more than birch, so whatever's best is what I'll get.

is birch also good for making things like quarter pipes and half pipes cause i have some random veneer thats pretty thick and that is even harder to bend so would i just put a whole bunch of layers of thinner veneer or one or two of thick?

I'm most likely not gonna be making vert stuff, because it's too hard right now and I don't have veneer, and etc. I accidently bought some maple wood a long time ago, but it wasn't plywood, and whenever you cut it, the pieces bend. Oak is out of the list on a side note. Blosom, how do you put the top piece on for the halfpipe? Did you nail it in?

my top piece on the ramp is hardboard. a cheap alternative to paper backed veneer (which is best to use for ramps surfaces...if you want a 'pro' job)...yeah i had to nail it down and glue it down. you will need 2 people to do it though, and you will need to clamp it while its drying/ getting the nails in happy

also i dont understand what u mean when u say 'you got some maple but wasn't plywood'?????

How thick is the hardwood? I don't think I have any around my place that thin most likely, I'm just wondering though.

Oh blosom, I got maple, it was just like one piece of 1/8 inch maple, no plies, just one straight up piece of maple.
