it's not a bad idea, but I kinda like the thrashed look of it. plus it was my first wooden deck (my g12 doesn't count, I didn't have it for long at all) it has sentimental value

^yea, my first wooden deck, a closeup g2, looks exactly the same. I coloured it black, it wore off, except round the wheels. The deck snapped, but I still keep it on my collection wall ^_^

it also has several meanings as buck is a common slang term.
