Hi guys some of you know that I own JW and I have been looking around and there two there companys called jwfingerboard which I slightly annoying as I was the first one and have talked to thema about changing their name but they won't so I was wondering if I should change my Jwfingerboards to something different it would be a bot boring tondo it but would it be worth it to be more individual thanks jack :

even though this is fingerboard companies and i am guessing you had no trademark on your name but my dad is a lawyer with this kinda stuff with patents more though and he has told me multiple time that you cant add an s to the end of a name for example flatfaces there has to be a significant change but that could be with patents but either way seems like if maybe you wrote on your home page that the other one is not you cause i am guessing it would cost money to buy a new domain name although its not much hopefully you can just get them to change their name

Come up with a name that means something, rather than just JW. Like, a word, or a concept, or an ambient thought, etc. It'll make you stand out rather than *insert word here* fingerboards.

i agree kerry JW seems cool but if you have a specific word that means somethign then it will seem more coooler i guess haha

why should he change his name? he has had it for a while.

and he owns a proper website unlike the other company

Edit maybe Devon decks? Divine decks? it would be cool to not be called fingerboard but just have a name so you could have Devine tape, devine trucks, devine decks...

Devon decks, would be cool, but i don't think you have to change it.

I think it needs a change, if jwfingerboards was already around then he can't take it.

you guys are still just offering suggestions of copied stuff. Dont worry about it jack a name is a name who cares what it is. Everyone needs to stop worrying about how cool there name is and put that much time and effort into there products instead. I could care less what a company is named if they have sick products. As for the patent thing, I can almost gaurantee the other JW fingerboards doesnt have any rights to the name legally, so dont worry about it.

great name rafi but jw is just what it has been for to long and it is a bit too much effort to change

yea i was thinking that so they could do it but im guessing who ever there was first will have a lot more respect from people buying which i couldn't really understand who was first

the one with the better products will be the one with respect from people grantinator. Well I guess I cant speak for everyone, but I dont really care what the name of a company is, I hate alot of the names of companies but I love there products so who cares

yea thats true i do agree with you more than what i said before i was just thinking they would get hate for copying

correct me if I'm wrong but isn't JW your name initials? just asking cause i don't know for sure but i think if you change it like others keep saying find something just like that something that has mean to you. just be confident in your choice and stick to it.

not to mention Devon Decks isn't half bad
