TDs and Close Up gen 1 + 2 were the same width (25mm around). My gen 3 was actually like 1mm wider than my g2, and therefore wider than a tech deck (by 1mm)
If these decks are then 2mm wider again, it's probably closer to 28mm

I just compared my g3 to my BWMN, and it looked about 2-3mm wider (2.5 I'd reckon, but I don't have a ruler). So they are provably gonna be fairly wide.

We can't really know until they're in the hands of someone (I should hopefully be getting one fairly soon), but I think the numbers can be a little misleading.

I reckon that they'll end up being about 1mm skinnier than a BWNM. I seriously can't understand how anybody could find the difference of 1mm width so great that they couldn't use a deck. Just makes you sound like a spoilt, bad fingerboarder.

To each their own. But a 27 is fairly small, compared to the average 30-31. g12 regs are 28, and they are tiny now. So they should be about the same as those. Like headstash stated, a year behind. If I saw these a year ago I'd have went ape shit.. Now they just aren't many peoples preferences, but that's how close up has always been. I personally just see so much more potential with their trucks, decks, and wheels. Because basically for the money they had to invest into making gen 4 a reality they could have changed a few numbers and got three times as many sells. At the end of the day though, they are doing something no one else is, and making a decent deck. So good for them.

ok i just think closeup is one of the stupidest companies ive skated there stuff and it blows its all skinny and horribly soggy the wheels barely roll i think td is even better i dont have a homophobia lol timmys my friend (jk) but you can get a waaaay better setup than this for the same price nice improvements but ive always hated closeup

It does get a little more complex with Close Up, as not only do they have to have loads of moulds manufactured but they have to work out costs for the factories and stuff. It's extremely hard and expensive for them to update their mold - hence why there's only one update per year.
Also, as you can probably tell by the shape - Close Up are very... Individual So they don't always follow the same trends as everybody else haha

Exactly as I said dude. To each their own, I totally respect someone doing what they love and want. After all it's not my company. That was just an average standpoint.

Im Deffinatly not a close up person Ive used a G1 and it was Horrible G2s Still as Ive heard not great But ive Heard they improoved For The G3 with new grip and all But G4 Looks Nice and those trucks :O very nice but still im a 30mm Guy :L i Love Wide Decks Haha i guess they can only get better.. or not

why does everyone have to argue about the width, if you like wide decks that doesn't mean every one does, some people prefer thin decks. everyone has their own opinion on things so accept if they think differently! close up are extremely good for the price and are a unique company (Y)

Im Not saying they make bad product im just saying that there not my kind of deck but if they did wides decks and thin decks so theres a varity for fingerboarders then that woulod be good people like thin people like wide isnt making different size decks obvious dont get me wrong close up are great quality and those trucks are sweet as xD
