Hard Knox epic mold review
The epic mold is Hard Knox’s newest mold made my Grant Harris from Seymour, Tennessee.

The shape: The deck features quite a deep shape featuring medium/high kicks and deep concave. It’s a bit “hardcore” and I definitely think it is a unique shape although I would prefer it with less concave and kick height. 7/10

Setting up: The deck was very easy to setup and all the screws fitted perfectly in every hole, the deck doesn’t have kingpin holes but that shouldn’t be a bother as most trucks (including techdeck) don’t have kingpin holes anymore. Very easy to set up and I don’t think it could be improved. 10/10

Performance: Although the deck is very hardcore which I’m not that used to, it was beyond my expectations which were based on my preference of shape (medium kicks and concave)as it has a nice comfortable feel and the concave fits your fingers in brilliantly. The deck is 30mm wide which is a great addition as it performs great on vert ramps. 8/10

Craftsmanship: Hard Knox is quite a new company so I was surprised at how good the craftsmanship was. The rounding and sanding were perfect although the lacquer isn’t great because it has got dirty and there are black marks showing up, it’s very shiny but it also has a few chips around the sides. The 2nd, 3rd and 4th plies of the deck featured some amazing split ply work and it was rightly aligned. 6/10

Overall: A great deck made with passion, by looking at the split ply work and beauty of the deck I would also class it a work of art. Great quality for a new company and I see a bright future for Hard Knox! Go pick one up real cheap! 7.5/10

yeah i asked him :/ well if i was him i would do the same, i wouldn't publish something for someone i don't like.

Anyway really nice review on different aspects of it. It could do with at least 1 extra picture of at least the bottom ply though. :p
