| Well, yup I recently got my stuff out and started shaping a set of trucks. (If anybody cares, probably not) My cousin showed me how to do it a while ago and I did a couple sets, then stopped. I really contemplated even wasting the time to post it. But Jack and Ed's great job on theirs kinda inspired me to give it a go again. The kingpin has sort of been my trade mark the whole time since I've been making them. So, I figure why break tradition. Comments would be most appreciative. |

There is a few ways of shaping trucks, you can use files, sand paper, dremel tools, belt sanders ( holding the truck with plyers). I've only filed mine, usually i mark off where/how much i want to file with a sharpie making sure its perfectly even then proceed to shape the trucks to how i'd like them, when i'm finished i'll check off the final shape with a vernier caliper( a extremely handy tool to measure with) then i give them a nice sanding with 360 grit sandpaper to remove all nicks and scratches left behind from the file then give it a good smooth/polish sanding with WET 2000 grit sandpaper, wash off all the debris and grit and dry it, then paint it or give it a clear coat( to prevent rust). Remember, PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT and plan everything well to get a great looking set of trucks. Then if you want to give them a extra custom touch remove the axles and kingpin and add screw in kingpin/axles, usually you can buy those at your local hobby shop, they're usually 0.60" thread and 3/8" long. |

| HOLY CRAP! I never expected such good responses. Thank you all! Thom I haven't been actively doing this long, but I can say to use all things involved if possible some sort of mini sander such as dremel or something of that nature. sand paper to prevent lumps, and a small yet delicate file something more borderlining smooth than using a rough one. Where you want to begin is by filing down the wings from the base of the hanger to the tounge of the hanger. As a matter of fact, I will send you a pm with pics so you can see it step by step. If you wouldn't mind. |

| If those were polished/painted, they would be probably the best option compared to Brt's and ytrucks. Even so, they're amazing. Nice job! |

| LOL Will Thanks bro and I know what it would take to do this man I don't know if I would be able to do this on a regular basis.
But if I ever did I would probably do maybe 10 or 15 sets at a surprisingly low price than most folks is doing it for and work on them in 2 or 3 month spurts.
I could never I just don't have the time or the patience. Thats why I admire you guys who actively do this. You guys are strong minded and intelligent individuals. That's why I have so much respect for you all.
