i think the bottom is a transfer..or even sharpie marker?....i dont think its engraved?....it might be...but i dont think it is..

Yeah I was going to say. I thought the auction said engraved, but that would be hard to get just like the teeth in a good formation without messing up! Maybe computer done, and transfered. Then just engraved that?

I'd say its engraved, almost definitely by hand. You can see it goes in on the black lines, so its engraved. I guess the guy who engraved it is good at art With a really small tool and the ability to draw very well I don't imagine its as hard as it looks.
