So then to get me back into fbing i thought about the whole meetup thing,

I have just emailed the Works skatepark in leeds to see if we can have the cafe upstairs for a few houres for the event. Hopefully this would work but i am not 100%

Yeah, I've always thought The Works upstairs cafe would probably be the best place. They have small round tables, if I remember correctly. Do they have any larger tables? I'm not sure if they'd let fbers have the whole place but maybe at least part of it.

Not too sure but maybe try the Welcome store? I've never been myself so I don't know if it's suitable or if they'd be willing.

But first, try to get some concrete details out first. If you get the location down first, set up a suitable time, get a draft poster/banner/logo done, think up a general schedule and contest ideas. Also get some idea of how many guys are interested and how interested they are in going. I guess this thread should be able to give some idea of that. I think if we all pitch in some ideas and stuff and get these things down, companies should be more inclined to sponsor.

Hopefully the works cafe will be ok and yeh i think they have bigger tables and i go to the welcome shop alot and its really small lol there wouldnt be enough space lol

Dude it's just a meet up, it doesn't need sponsors. You don't get free skateboard stuff every time you go skate with your mates do you? It's not a competition or anything so I wouldn't ask for sponsors. I'm down for this meet up though, as long as it's not close to my exams.

Don't call it an event just so you can justify having sponsors. I really think if you just want to have a meet up, then people should get together and bring their own stuff and just have fun fingerboarding. There's going to be Cyclone 4 in summer which will be a big sponsored event. Of course free stuff is fun but we can have little competitions without prizes.

I was thinking about a meet up but I wasn't sure if he meant the companies for sponsors. I'm fully content with a meet up though.

i was mainly thinking of sponsors so we have a veriety of obstacles to sesh but meetups are cool
