| You really cant blame mike for how much shipping costs. It'd be dumb to get it outside of the US basically. I think they're kind of cool! A little overpriced, $15 would be better than $20 imo, but still, if I lived in the US I'd pick one up, I like simple stuff like this Nonetheless the thought of paying $65 for a small block of granite is amusing XD |

| but its still $30 shipped in the US that's still outrageous, seeing as you can go to a granite shop and ask if they have any scrap bits lying around and they'll give you pretty much the same thing free or for a few quid |

| True, but its professionally polished and exactly the right size to fit under two brr pallets. BUT, same with most ramps in fingerboarding, DIY is always a fuck ton cheaper, just you've actually got to DO it yourself, and most people are too lazy XD |

| Except it actually costs $20? Seriously, unless you want to fly over there and get it yourself you cant talk shit about a postage cost, this thing is heavy as fuck I'm sure, and post isn't cheap. I.e. not his fault. Shipping stuff worldwide isn't always theasable. Its only £12 for the obstacle, which isn't too bad considering a) its perfectly sized for fingerboarding, b) its polished, and c) he has to make a profit, and pay tax and all other business costs. And I'm pretty sure he employs people to help with orders and stuff. You people don't seem to understand how much money, time, and effort running a legitimate business actually costs.
BUT, yea, I wouldn't suggest any non US person get one of these, just go get some granite from somewhere else. |

| There was a thread on FFI about the vista ledge, which is $35. If you really want something like this, do a google search for kitchen suppliers near you, and ask if they have offcuts. The standard thickness for kitchen worktops is 2 or 3 cm, so with one or two pieces you have a perfect ledge/pad. |

Well, BRR would sell it for 20 eur and they'd charge 10 eur shipping at least as its heavy as fuck, so you wouldn't really save much money. Its just not worth getting it out of the US, basically. |

| its 55....not 65...
and just buy your granite elsewhere?
mike probably didn't want to ship the granite outside the US as he knew the cost would be stupid. BUT i bet he got inundated with excited kids in the EU all messaging his mom asking why they dont ship the granite outside the US.
there's your price.
why you think i didnt sell my benches outside the UK?
cos shipping would have been like 15 quid......and threads like this would get made. seriously. you cant win.
DONT BUY IT. |
