The Ampersands Project is much like what Gripskin is to Mainland Europe, a group of friends, all about chilling. What's different with Ampersands is that it focuses on culture, so music, art, etc. What i'm trying to do is reflect how the world perceives the UK and it's scene, so grey, spraypainted but overall relaxed in it's nature. Keep an eye on this project, as there will be a, sort of, team, artwork and music playlists for you all to witness. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask! (That deck is a china deck, i reshaped the kicks a little, i won't be selling those, and i don't plan on making decks)

What's hard to understand, it's basically a media team, but based around our culture, what we listen to and what we like in general.

Yeah, British people. The people i have in mind are the guys that are my friends, whom if i decided to quit fingerboarding, i know that i'd still remain good friends with them.

Xi got it in one! An Ampersand, for those that do not know, is the name for the symbol '&' Also, i'd like to welcome Simon to the group Simon is the one person that as soon as i met him, i knew he was a friend for life, his relaxed attitude and overall wittiness, spurred me back into fingerboarding after a 2 year break, and for that i'm eternally grateful. Welcome mate

Very original idea Thom. Great start I can't wait to see where it goes. To hamper down on such a broad idea yet barring one general movement is genius bro. I'll be watching for it. I tried such a thing once it didn't go so well nor were any of the people I was close to. But maybe that the piece that was missing the unity while having the same passion. You rock!

sorry for the late post, i didn't see this. It's a sick idea Thom and i wish you and the best. Will you be doing interviews on a broader scale, including more than just fingerboarding, like Gripskin?

I probably won't do interviews, as i want it to be more about the actual team and their interests. - Ironfingers wrote:

Are you cuttin the stencils from perspex Thanks dude The stencils are cut from sheets of Acetate - blosom wrote:

(well i know, but whats your reasoning behind it etc?) Well i quite liked what i did on the Blos site, which was embed a new song every few days on the homepage (i don't know if anyone else noticed, haha). I love the idea of having a personal touch, hence why i made the stencil and i've been spraying it round quite a bit, also why i hand drew the font, haha. I think this personal touch could be good in helping other fingerboarders understand the team, what they like and such, so i guess it's like an ongoing interview or personal blog. - Nedim V wrote:

Edit: One more question: If you have a team, who's on the team now. Haha, i'll probably sort out a site soon, i haven't thought about it if i'm honest! On the team currently is just me and Simon Cartledge |
