So, fiddling with the admin pannel I changed the rank titles, people are no longer 'noob posters' because they haven't got to 100 posts yet. It now goes:
FBHQ Beginner - 1
Blossoming FBHQer - 150
FBHQ Regular - 450
Every Day FBHQer - 750
Constant FBHQer - 1000
Part of the Furniture - 1500

What I'd like to do, however, is get rid of respected members. I mean, everyone should be respected here, so I don't see why they need a group of their own. Just promotes elitism imo. What do you think?

i don't like the colour changes....
mods should be red or something bright.

I see where your going with the respected members thing, i was thinking there should be something for the long time fbhqers, like the first ever people to join if you know what i mean
just a suggestion

maybe, if you scrap respected members, you could make it so that if you go up a posting rank you name's colour changes? and mods and admin would have distinct colours that you can't obtain just by having lots of posts..

That's not a bad idea, I could maybe make some subtle changes of colour.. I'm going to change the blue of normal members to like black or something, and I dunno, maybe get slightly more colourful from that, but still let mods/admins stand out?

And louis I appreciate your input but thats almost exactly the same as 'respected', or, it has the same negative drive towards elitism and making it seem that people who've been here for ages are 'better' than others, when I want everyone (except holden) to be equal

double post, sorry, but I just activated a 'star' system, thoughts on that? And I removed respected members, so now everyone is either a normal member or staff, which I think is more fair If EVERYONE hates there not being respected members I'll bring it back, but, yea, just trying it out.

like the stars and yeah, definately keep mods and admin very distinct, like primary colours. but make subtle colour changes occur when your post rank goes up? so newbies are black, then 1 star is brown, then two star is purple..et.c but the higher rank you are the more bright the colour?

I don't really like the stars, they just don't look right to me I'm guessing thats because they're new so I'll give it a while. I prefer not having respected members as well and yeah make the mods / admin colours more distinctive . Nice idea

nobody likes change....but meh. we all get used to it.

i think its a good idea, but personally id bump the amounts up a bit it needs to get extra stars.....(not just as ive been here a long time) but because someone can spam up to 100 in a couple days...then they might go under the radar for scams and such....

Yea, turns out I cant do that, sorry.. Colours for each member have to stay the same unless they're a mod or admin unfortunately. I think purple + green stand out enough from blue atm.

I was fine with the ranks before and fine with the current ones. Like the stars.

thanks for the feedback guys! And well, danny wanted green, so, pester him if you want him to come up with a new colour for it XD

I dunno, the green was the first thing I noticed when I logged on and it made the place look like it had less life or something, but I'll get used to it...
