and this scum or waste of life could be you or me. you're lucky to have a rich mummy and daddy who can send you to private school and provide you with all you need. the vast majority of other young poeple in london don't have that luxury, and some don't even know whether they'll be eating dinner at night.

you need to rememeber you're a very privildeged young man, who's had a good education and will be favoured by employees because of the opportunites your parents have presented to you. I doubt you'd be so smug if you were black or asian and discriminated against daily and feeling like an outsider in your own country.

Yeah man Simon's right. You can't really generalise all of these looters and call them a waste of life, most of them are born into this whole circle of living in poverty even in a privilledged country but they are still being affected by money troubles, discrimintaion and are exposed to a lot of violoence and drugs at a very young age.

Living in a place like Peckham which is such a lovely area but is seriously over looked by others because of it's reputation, I can tell you that not all of these people who you might just call chavs aren't all stupid, moronic thugs. A lot of my friends from school come from less privelledged backgrounds and I can tell you that they aren't stupid people who see a situation like this and see it as an excuse to smash a few windows and get some free gear, most of them are smart loving people who know this is wrong and are not out there rioting but are sitting at home following BBC news and worrying about their environment around them, just as you do.

So I just think it's really wrong to generalise all these people who are living in estates and come from less privilledged backgrounds an band them under the name of "low life thuggy chavs"

Yeah I have been seeing this allot on TV lately. It is really sad. The police should take some stronger precautions/preventative riot strategies to defuse future situations.
