| i just set up a board with good old griptape and it was such good fun! i felt like a little change for a laugh so i put my brt's on my redemption agape along with some grip and it was soo fun the board has a totally different feel, you would expect it to feel more shaped with the thinner tape but it actaully felt more mellow. obviously i'll be sticking to the 'foam' style tape but it wasn't that bad. i'm not the only person who likes grip, right? pictures... |

| I put grip on some of my techdecks just standard skate grip, and it's pretty good bit harsh onthe skin on your fingers, but defo a good replacement for td grip.. Ive only tried foam recently and I like it but it seems to be getting less grippy over time..

| Use regular skate griptape guys, Funny enough, Before FBS,Foamy G,slimtape, pheon, and all the others they're used to be these little companies that sold griptape instead of neoprene tape... It was all the rage where as neoprene tape wasn't to popular.. specially how it was nearly $3 a sheet compared to .50 for 5 sheets..
Personally i love how griptape cuts, and how thin it is, it makes the boards just feel proper and make really good fingerboards look even more like miniture skateboards. |

i know what you mean, it does hurt my fingers a little and it seems to lose its grip quite qucik i find griptape harder to cut compared to riptape, but it does definitely give the board a nice feel |

| Griptape is a simple cut, File everything till you get a black line, take sharp exacto knife and follow line while hugging board... once you've gone all the way around the board, your done. I don't see how you guys think griptape hurts your fingers, it's like running your fingers on emery boards, your taking all the dead flesh off your fingertips slowly smoothing them down with every trick.. |

| Yeah it's easy to cut IMO I gripped it like I would grip a deck.. There is only a certain amount of dead flesh to go from my fingers before it becomes bone etc...
I've been looking for the concave Tds but I still ain't seen any around yet |

| Actual skate grip is just too abrasive for fingers. Ever heard of the term "griptape thumb"? It's the phenomenon caused by holding skateboards by the nose (usually when mounting the board) which wears away all the skin on your thumb and making it very sore and/or bleed.
I've used some fine sandpaper in the past and it works very well. TD grip is quite underrated and I think their newest griptape (from the Wood Competition Series) is a really good fb griptape. All this stuff about grip killing your fingers is a bit of an exagerration. We all used TD griptape and I had no serious complaints about it. Everyone used griptape back in the day and if I had a board with grip, I'd still be able to skate it. |
