Hello I'm just curious .. I began to practice kickflips earlier. Out of 20 attempts I can nail 5 of them. I started playing for about 2 weeks now and I learned ollie for about a week. I just want to ask if how long did it take before u guys mastered kickflip so i have an idea if im on the right phase. Thank you.

there is no set time limit to tricks brotha. concentrate on finger position and popping right. land one and try to get your fingers in the exact same spot, same pressure, it takes a lot of practice.

I feel the same man I'm at kickflips and cam do them consistently but not well.. I keep not catching them..
As above there is no timeline jury enjoy it.. And keep trying

Kickflip was my first trick on a tech deck cause my friend brang it into school so i started learning and i got a kickflip an ollie was hard but now I am pro at ollies:D

Kickflip is no harder than a ollie for me. Took me like 1 week to master

well, point is, the time it takes you to learn tricks is strictly up to you. could be weeks, years, days, hours, minutes? the only constant is that old saying "practice makes perfect".

I used to do pressure kickflips before I realised I could do normal kickflips on fingerboards. I don't remember how long it took once I started doing them but it wasn't long. Kickflips and ollies were the hardest tricks to learn because they were the first steps into doing good tricks.

Great thanks for all the feedbacks. It's weird also coz sometimes i can do it and sometimes don't. maybe i need to relax my fingers because sometimes its getting too numb.

I agree. I tried to loosen up my kick flips earlier rather than putting a pressure as you've said above, and poof it looks much more better. when I put pressure on the board it doesn't have much air on it and it over flips. But when i tried loose my hands and fingers going with the motion it's kinda look like a kickflip of a pro. thanks for the advice.

I can do them somewhat consistently now but I don't feel like i'll ever have them mastered especially moving.

basically the first trick on my first wooden board (fingerdecks D3) i got it really good

Lol damn.. You live so far! lol. @TheMattigan So am I lol. I just know how to do it. But yeah out of 5 attempts there's still 1-2 bails. I think it is difficult to do it with consistency.
