could we work on the emotions a bit.

emoticons are being worked on once I figure this out.

The images at the top can change, I'm currently stuck so asked for help on the forumotion help board, as to a way to remove the space inbetween the banner and the 'home, portal, etc' buttons.

the buttons are a work in progress, as is this forum, so please refrain from making some pointless, unhelpful, and disheartening commment such as 'the thing at the top is queer'. once I've fixed the buttons possitioning, I'll get on making them look even nicer. These are just a test.

I kinda think the grass in the master-bar is too much of an eye-sore?

The images at the time to replace the last definitely need to be smoother, i'm guess that they're enlarged from a smaller image? Will definitely love them once sorted however.

I'd also like to suggest 2 changes to the banner. Could you make the Union flag a tiny bit bigger to match how it is on the Unite banner and make it consistent with the character sizes. Also, I don't think you really need the full stop in the phrase at the bottom.

My general thoughts on the theme: It isn't quite how I thought but I can get used to this. It just looks much less colourful than the last one in comparison but it is consistent with Unite which is what we were wanting.

I personally like the company ads below the unitefingerboard banner. It's much easier for us to browse and check the companies website and looks much more professional as well.

I like the company ads and the links, but theres just a few things about the links:
-They're too squished together (maybe make them a bit smaller and spread them out
-They're a bit pixelated

If those two things were fixed I would love it.

But yea, layout is pretty cool to me. Only thing I'm a little "not diggin" is the menu bar wothe the home portal and all. Needs to be spaced, but it's whatever, I don't look up there ever anyways so doesn't both me too bad.

Yes Kerry, although now I am very aware of the lack of spacing between some of the letters. o.o

AND I resized your signature a bit, I'm going to make it a rule eventually that signatures should be no wider than 700px, I'll do that once the new design is finished. But yours was breaking the tables, so, I resized it. hope you don't mind

Off topic but I think there should also be a rule on the vertical length of signatures.

I think the mods color should be forest green as well, I think it would go great with the rest of the forum. I think the "part of the unitefingerboarding family" excerpt, definitely needs more spacing between letters. I think the home/portal/etc., all those buttons at the top, should be different. Even if it's not as pixelated, I think it might still look weird. I think a solid color would work better.

Good idea, I think I'll set a vertical and horizontal limit for size of signatures and avatars.

I'm going to play with mod and admin colouring soon, forest green is definitely a good idea and the 'part of the unitefingerboarding family' I'll try with more spacing tomorrow. And as I've said three times now already, the top home,portal etc buttons are just tests and are going to be changed. I've also thought of solid colours and plan to test that tomorrow.

I feel kinda bleh, bit ill now, so I'ma go sleep and get a fresh start on work tomorrow either morning or evening depending on whether I feel up to going to B&Q and getting the last bit of wood I need for the unite park

I've just had another go at the nav bar and I think it looks really good! When you get a message it pops up with

I cant, however, make it show numbers without diving into a bunch of complex code that I'm really not going to bother with. Too ill, and tbh it saying 'new messages' is pretty much the same as '5 messages', and it sticks out when you have one now anyway, so that's good. Besides, you can get email notifications of PMs, thats what I do!

AND I changed the text on the banner to have more letter spacing and be more readable, I agree it looks a lot better like this.

I'm pretty happy with this atm, how about you guys? Thoughts? Anything else you want trying?
