| Look, reselling china decks is just not fun, not fun at all. It is just poor profit. If you wanna make decks/own a company, be creative and make your own unique shape of decks that no other companys have. Share it with the world bro.
Selling china stuff is just... low.

| I am addressing these remaining concerns in a final attempt to help doubters understand what it is we do here. Our decks. The debate has grown old over our decks origin. It was mildly amusing at best, now it is just ridiculous. I make these boards one piece at a time. I personally prepare all the raw veneer, cut, dye, dry, sand, score, treat, glue, press, shape, sand, brand, clear coat, package, and ship every single deck that carry the Northwoods logo. It took years of research to develop our SWEETridge concave and features of our boards. I invented our very special concave so I can assure you we are like no fb deck on the market. You cannot see what makes us unique; it’s something you feel. I don't ride or purchase any other company's deck. I wanted to make my own board because I seek challenging, creative outlets and there was 5 feet of snow outside.. The decks we offer are a result of the years that followed. Even to this very moment we are developing and improving our already amazing boards. Every day, all day and night is dedicated to my company and the sport of fingerboarding. The trucks No one really got mad about the trucks. Cool. Because we like those too. The wheels Ahh the wheels. To contradict many of you, we are actually helping fingerboarding grow here. Most of the beginner/ intermediate fingerboarders do not understand why wheels would cost $30+. We currently offer a step-between to help the average rider understand why having bearing wheels is necessary and also why they could easily cost more for a better quality. I know exactly how quality these wheels are. I ride them to stay in touch with my other products. I hand spin every single wheel we receive. I listen to every bearing and visually inspect each one for an acceptable shape. I throw almost 50% of my stock away in the process. These wheels will help you enjoy fingerboarding more than hollow wheels. They are not the best but it will help others understand the real value of pure, turned, shielded bearing wheels. Business advice I have explained more than I should have about trademarks and our decisions. I have been quite personable in an effort to help you get to know our company. Most are getting the picture; still some have mistaken my kindness and patience as softness. We will not entertain ANY business advice from anyone who does not either run his/her own company or practice law. We have all the law advice we need and it is solid. Mind your business, I will mind mine. Personal attacks Personal attacks will not be tolerated! I am to understand this is a peaceful forum that loves and nurtures the sport. You know almost nothing about me or my company. I am sharing with this forum and the community in it. Have some respect for what it takes to start a company, create something special, then hang it out naked for the world to see. I will report you to the Admin if it continues. We are professionals and not here to teach you manners. To those still reading We have a lot in store for the future of fingerboarding. We are very excited about the boards we make. Our concave will not be changed. Other companies offer a mellower concave and we suggest you buy them if you think that is what you prefer. Our kick is developed to help beginners learn and others go big. We may offer a lower kick in time but it is not our priority. Right now we are developing our feature division. Then we will be involving our community in fingerboarding plans of which are too vast to go into. Then, ultra high quality trucks and wheels. All of this has been in the process and we could not be happier that it is finally coming to fruition. If you are stoked too, follow us on northwoodsfb.com, facebook and twitter. Until next time, peace. Haters quit hatin' lovers keep lovin'. | Guys, quit screwing with him, he's legit. He showed his press. You can't just start with superb bearing wheels and brts. Also, When I started fbing I originally wouldn't buy anything but a complete, and my dad wouldn't let me buy anything but a complete. Completes, china or not, do help younger, no money kids who want to get into fingerboarding but don't have 150 $ and don't want to invest that much. - Northwoods wrote:

I kind of get what you're are saying, but if an average rider wanted wheels, that aren't top-notch, but aren't the lowest quality either, they could get Bollie wheels from Flatface, or No Comply Smoothies, which are non-bearing wheels, but made out of urethane/polyurethane/whatever it is, and are still smooth, both from legitimate companies that really help out the scene, and are well known. |
