Hey Kerry maybe at 1000 users we kind of cut it off and get more strict on who gets on here? It would still be like a nice forum that everyone can be apart of but controlled as well? Just an idea because I want this forum to be a nice pure awesome forum(: tell me what you think?

I don't see any reason to make another forum that is a closed group right now.

The reason I chose to come here is because of how open and friendly everyone was.

Alright so until there is a problem i think thats a good idea sounds a bit more reasonable after i read my post over and looked at everyones a problem. I just don't want people who have no life to come in here and shit on it soooo yea until there is a problem.

If you're talking about trolls then I wouldn't worry too much... If you're just talking about people you don't like I really don't have anything else to say other than we all have to get along to some minimum degree...

The mods/assistant admin here are awesome, and active a lot, so trolls usually just come and go.

there's no problem, and closing off forums just leads to negativity and elitism. We can combat idiots and keep this place open to everyone.

In addition, I would still like to see FBHQ grow bigger and restricting it is going to hinder that.

Completely agree. If we close the registration here it's like ending up like FFI. And I think most of us are matured enough to handle trolls here and if there's any, That's why we have mods and admins here to do their job.

And we do a good job keeping Holden out, so yeh. And as what...(ehh I forgot who posted it) said, Trolls will just come and go, I know this may sound horrible but I know how to deal with trolls, I've dealt with plenty when I was active on FSS Chat at the Tech Deck Community Forum

I just lost my control of sense and sane on FFI. And went Bonkers.

yeah, and besides then some of the people who are in the 200 or whatever wouldn't deserve to be there, and some people who want to join but can't maybe would be the coolest people ever. And then we would all get old and boring and no new talent would come through.

This is why I love you.

FBHQ is a vibrant community, and it's important to keep it that way. Closing off registrations KILLS long term. Just look at the ups and downs with FFI.

I'll never close off here. People like holden are still trolololing FFI, so what's really the difference? I was unable to get on forums for the first 8 months of fingerboarding. Am I a troll? No. Closing stuff off is bad, so I'll never do it here. I'd hate people to start getting elitist here, but thankfully all the few assholes that have come here end up complaining that here 'should be more like FFI', and then leaving, haha XD

I love the synergy with Unite FBHQ has. Open registration means we can draw in people all over the world and unite them.

yeah... well off topic but i couldnt get on a forum for the first 1.5 years of fb'ing.
