Hi guys I'm just wondering if I should get the CloseUp Fingerskate Complete G4. I have seen lots of good reviews of it. So guys I'm wondering if I should get it. If not do you guys have any suggestions, and my price range is under 50 dollars for a complete set.

but don't get a close up, if I were you I would get a deck such as temple or vion for $10, then some flatface g6s for $30, and some flatface dump trucks for like $4

It's all a matter of prefferance. Close Ups are good, just as Temple and Vion looks to be (haven't tried these yet).
But since Close Ups are complete they are more or less the perfect beginner package IMO.

If you're wanting a complete for under $50, Close Up is a great choice. The products have all the high quality features you'd expect at a reasonable price.

You can buy a Close Up G4 complete with a set of Close Up bearing wheels together for €33 from Close Up (not sure if they offer a price in USD) and even if you factor in another €3 for shipping, it still comes out under $50. This is the exact setup I use as a main setup.

Forgot the shipping costs? Forgot the tape? I also would not recommend Flatface G6s, they're OK but I prefer other wheels and at $30 you can get better for less (Close Up and No Comply).

Agreed. Although I use them and I wouldn't consider myself as a beginner.

Dunno what you mean about the longevity of Close Up boards. I've had the same Close Up G4 setup for about 7 months now, only upgrading the metal core wheels to bearing wheels 1 and a bit months in. It's fucking great and there are no signs of me needing to replace anything soon apart from the tape but it's still fine.

Also, I don't trust Jace now. Will Day was supposed to be sponsored by them at one point and he received nothing for ages. Will is awesome and really didn't deserve to be messed about like that.

From what I heard the aren't bad but for $50 you could get a much better setup.

I mean fingerboarding is all preference so it may be the perfect board for you but you could always get like a Temple, Vion, or Redemption in the 10$ - 15$ for a deck, get some Dump Trucks or trucks from No Comply.... Then just whatever bearing wheels you want pretty much....

Hope that was useful but basically if you want the Close-Up get it... If you are just getting because you are unsure look around a bit more... Fingerboarding has a lot more products available than you would think... Especially with the countless numbers of small upstarting companies who are selling great decks for very low prices...

These trucks are insanely amazing. Been using mine forever and they look brand new

I know its a couple bucks over your budget, but in the long run, this set up is unreal.

I know everybody is gonna be like OMG.

But for your first ever bearing wheels get a set of China Wheels
Then Some DUmp Trucks
And instead get like a homewood or a really really nice deck...

i would suggest a forgiven fingerboards f1 wide premuim with some dump trucks and no comply smoothies, all together it should be around $40. and it wont give you the feeling of a bad wooden fingerboard like a close up, it will give you the experience of an amazing deck and you can buy other decks as you get more of an idea of what your preference is!!

I wouldn't go so far as to say that Close-Up's are bad, it's just that not everyone prefers the shape most likely, and Xi is sponsored by them, so they can't be bad quality. I'd say get a Redemption, No Comply trucks, and Roll 9's from them as well.

Don't go for 4 corner products. It's all china stuff. If you want something cheap, go with No Comply Smoothies, or Bollies, because you'll still be getting cheap wheels, but they will be higher quality, and helping legit companies.

You can get a complete CloseUp G4 for $28.50 from Flatface. Seems like a solid deal to me. I haven't used a Closeup since the G2 so I'm unsure of the performance.

what does Xi being sposored by them have to do with them not being bad quality, ive had one before, it honestly feels like a modded tech deck. but thats a good setup you requested, ive never tried a redemtion before tho the look god, and i say smoothies over roll 9s because 1, roll 9s arent in stock, and 2, you wont have to deal with the bearing popping out all the time.

and i also recommend the g12 complete, such a great setup from the get go.

I don't think anyone is going to agree with this. They're both fingerboards, that's about it.

Although there is still a huge difference in feel when you compare a closeup to another deck, like a homewood for example. It influenced my riding in a positive way when I stopped using my closeup. They aren't wide enough and are so light. The one thing I'll say that I do like about closeup though is their grip. Its amazing. Just keep in mind that when paying $30 for a complete, your only getting $30 worth of a complete, which is not very high quality. You are much better off spending that $30 on a good deck and go cheaper on the tuning.

close ups are awsome, it was my first board and i think most people start out on them. The only problem with them is most people find themselves wanting a wider deck with maybe a less extreme shape. Obviously some people like the extreme shape of close ups like Xi, but most people don't.
After the close up i moved onto a redemption which, imo, are one of the most fair priced decks for what you get.
So, for your first set up i would recommend:

Redemption 'Exotic MMC 99' - $14.99 (comes with tape)
Bollie wheels white - $14
Spinal Wide trucks - $5

order the wheels and trucks off flatface to save money and the deck from redemption themselves (obviously)

The reason I say don't get a close up is the shape,its quite odd and It's hard to get used to, imo its not ideal for beginners as they may find it difficult to start with, I also find that the decks are very light and don't feel that sturdy when riding. this is just my opinion however
best option would probably be

redemption/temple/vion
g6s/NC roll 9's
dump trucks
any decent tape

should be around your budget
