Johnny Russi BTW For a guy that has been riding for about 8 years and rides only with people who are sponsored (chris silva, ian christison, chicko, and many others), I can tell you that being sponsored at 12 YEARS OLD IN BMX, is something that you rarely see. This isn't a sport like skateboarding or snowboarding where you see many young kids being sponsored. |

Not what I am saying. I said its much rarer to see a young bmx rider sponsored. And to be quite honest, to become a sponsored bmx rider is much harder. One of the many requirements to get sponsored as a bmx rider is to go VERY high in the air. Bikers have the capacity of going much higher then skateboarders. On top of all things, falling a bmx is much more dangerous then on a skateboard (trust me, I have had my fair share of surgeries, and I'm not even sponsored). The bails a bmx biker faces have a higher chance of being more damaging then a skateboarders bails. I'm not against skateboarders at all. I bring my deck to the park every once in a while. But I can say very firmly that become a bmx riding professional is much harder then becoming a professional skateboarder. |

| It's true.
You don't see young kids getting sponsored for various reasons these days.
Plus most kids just throw the sponsor card up even if they don't have one so they think you will take them seriously.
