| About what Kerry said. Gods time is different from our time. 1000 years to him may be different from us. And for those who say it's just too far fetched, it was for me too until I had a Honest to goodness spiritual experience, and could feel god in my presence. But I'm ranting. Just open your mind up. Athiests can be really hypocritical ( claim to be open minded then shun religion at the first sight of it.) and I think it sort of blocks them. @ forgiven about people like that, I have more respect for athiests than fake Christians. @ ironfingers I touched my bible . Nothing happened. I don't think anything will happen when you touch it, but mabe when you read it. I would suggest to read cs lewis, now that I have taken your advice. Not the chronicles of narnia, but mere christianity.

| In my opinion, an angel is what humans want to be, to be able to fly, protect anyone, be a guardian to their loved ones, and be humble with all. I guess centuries upon centuries back, this was their idea, their imagination made the perfect being. |

double post, but meth is one hell of a drug. I lold. where did I double post ? @ Danny I know, I don't think you, or any other other atheist outright shuns religion, but I think that they more look at one verse out of context, and read a bunch of atheist science, but no Christian science. I have read both. I'm not going " athiestneighimsooffendeddurk&insertsbasicchristianityhere". I think people like that are annoying. @ Tomas your just saying "they just made it up!!!1!" and I can't really argue against that. |

I'm not really an aethiest, I'm just me. No spirituality what so ever is the wrong answer, but christianity is too in my books. But I'm no expert, I was just saying IMO revelations is funny and kind of stupid/hard to believe. I think south park have it right, as obsurd as that might sound. Got 20 minutes of your life with nothing else to do? - http://xepisodes.com/south-park/season-6/episode-8-red-hot-catholic-love/Okay, so, they kind of take the piss out of christianity there, catholicism mainly, but at the end the speech the father gives is exactly right. The bible is full of stories made to help people be good people, and that's all it is to me. And those stories are great, and people who follow them to just be a good person, I completely respect them. Just literal takings of the book, chiors of angels like seraphim and such, its all just taking it a bit tooo far imo. South park's hyperbolic depiction of this is one of the reasons a) its a fantastic episode, and b) they're soo right about a lot of stuff, and take true points and explain them in a hilarious way, but still have a strong meaning behind them. It will always be my favourite show. <3 |

| Yes but I've seen almost a million discussions about religion and they all somehow end up to something a little like this... - Person A wrote:
- I believe in a giant purple hippo.
- Person B wrote:
- I believe in a angry red snake.
- Person A wrote:
- Say what you will about the angry red snake but my beliefs in my purple hippo are much more serious and spiritual than anything the red snake could offer.
- Person B wrote:
- The red snake is obviously the choice of those who aren't retarded. I make my decisions based on facts and feel like because my choice of belief is against a pre-established norm that I'm a fucking bad-ass and must insult anyone for believing in anything else as well as constantly degrade other people's beliefs for not being the same as mine.
I'd love to see this not go in that direction but it will slowly degrade to a wrestling match of imaginary ideals eventually... it always does. |

| People in the Bible-times just wrote down what they were seeing. For example, what they perceived "angels" descending from the sky, could have been aliens visiting earth. Descending from the sky with future technology that they've had long before us. And drawings of the winged people considered to be angles just don't make sense. Their wings wouldn't support their body weight and wouldn't allow them to fly. I find it easier to think the drawings of winged people refer to them as having the ability to fly. Meaning advanced beings who could fly, and who once visited the Earth.
I hate how it's more popular/easier to believe that some invisible guy who loves us is going to come, take his believers to heaven, and leave everyone to be destroyed by satan. That's why I chose to believe that there are other beings out there, that once came to Earth, and what happened is what is written in the Bible and all ancient scriptures/writings. No matter what the origin of the scriptures/writings are. "Gods" descending from the sky sounds a lot like aliens visiting Earth, to me. |

| Im an atheist. There's no solid proof that Jesus existed. He could have just ben a guy which discovered weed before everyone else and walked around smoking and making shit up. ( Probably not, but, you never know.) He could have been the Son of God. He could have been what he is made out to be. Noone actually knows. But I believe in Jesus to a certain degree. I'm pretty sure he definitely lived and was called Jesus. There is also more evidence Jesus existed than there is that Julius Caeser did. (True Fact)
But that's just my opinion.
EDIT: I go to a Catholic school. |

Lol just sayin the makers are Jewish. It is only until you experience it that you understand. I thought what you said, and even had my own theory, until I really experienced it. Its impossible to explain and it's very easy to doubt it, people who told me originally I totally thought bs. Jus open your mind. Back to fingerboarding though, lol |

| ok this is gonna be long and boring for most of you... anywase Forgiven : you said your parrents give to much? well i dont know how much they make but in the bible it does say that you need to give 10% of all your income to the church..not to preech or anything.. and someone said " I'm not just shunting religion, just everything has been proved by science, or there's a good enough theory for it at least. " I'm all for people believing what they want, I just don't believe in religion.
Do you believe in creation? Im just saing it takes alot more faith to believe that the world came from a "Big Boom" then it does to say there is a God. for example even the smartest people can not re-create a tree....its impossable for the smartest people to do...so you want to say everything came from nothing? orrrr???? |

| I just find it sooo hard to believe that someone watches over and creates us, there is no proof but belief in religion and some stories about Jesus' miracles in the bible (which I believe to be extremely exagerated) although I do agree with religous books just telling people the morales in life, and respect religous people for following them, but when some people tell me they're 100% sure God is real and that I'm wrong it just pisses me off because there's no proof |

If he was there, he would not let persecution of his followers happen.
