Ive tried Yellowood Slimtape, Riptape, FBS. looking for something different, preferably smoother less grippy tape but looking for all suggestions.

so what do you guys use?

Foamy G is beast got it with my homewood

4C tape... It' cheap, feels nice and overall pretty dam good tape. If you got the money go for FBS xsmoof

I don't know anywhere english to get it but I'm sure you can email them and ask to order and they'll sort it out for you, jan and the other people from swat are sooo nice and legit (I stayed with them for a few days in june, the shop is awesome!)

I know everyone bums china tape, and if you like a non porous tape (fbs, foamy greatness, etc) then you'll probably like it, but propaganda tape is a weird mix of the two, and ridiculously nice to ride. way underrated and sooo good. not as cheap as some tapes, but worth the money imo.

Wangster tape is really grippy and smooth. And its cheap too

Get some Anchor tape if Peter still sells it

so 4c is really popular eh. id be tempted if i didnt feel bad everytime i used it the foamy j i got looks really nice so cant wait for that. i still want to check out that response tape too.

So judging by this, I would suggest Foamy J. It's great straight out of the package (doesn't need wearing in) and performs exceptionally good when it's new. The main issues I have with it are that the longevity of the tape is too short, it would last less than a month on a board that I wasn't using as a main setup (Shredding intensity may vary between fingerboarders). Also, as the tape wears away, little bits of tape crumble off and it gets all over the surface that you're skating on, making a mess and sticking to your wheels making rolling a bit bumpy until you take all the bits off but then more will get on it.

The other suggestion I would make is: Wangster Tape.

BrianC recommends this too and I got a piece from him when I bought my Pure deck. He's right, it's really smooth and not as grippy as most tapes so you'd probably love it.

please don't insult riptape, I don't ride anything else except for on decks I'm reviewing, when I use ppg response tape. rip is nomnomnom. but yea, definitely check out response tape when you get a chance

4c tape is so cheap it really wont put a hole in your pocket, 3 pieces for 5 dollars. Although yesterday it was 2 pieces for a dollar... I ordered like 8 sheets!

Well from the looks of it i did well buying the foamy j. i have a feeling its the same material as yellowood slimtape, because slimtape also has the crumbling sides. its fine though because i usually stock up on a lot of tape then change it every month or so anyway. yayy.

thats what i did back in 06 making decks and selling them to kids on my street

Neotape is where it's at. Pretty thick but it's smooth and really grippy.

Fusion tape is the best!!!!!

I like 4C tape but it is china tape, i also really enjoy Foamy Greatness!
